Absolutely not complaints. No noise from the street. Appeared to be sold out even during the week--very popular. This is a "motel" which is great if you want to park next to your door to bring in wine from wine tasting, etc. Benefits from being one of the Chumash hotels--quality security and cleaning, etc. Lots of hot water and quality towels, Wi-Fi was fast for email and browser. Voucher for breakfast at Olsen's Bakery was a deal--each worth about $10 for a nice breakfast--very short lines during the week when we were there. Front desk staff very helpful. Got a discount because we have a Chumash gambling card. Got into the room early.

Stayed here one night, rooms are very tired. Our room smelled like smoke and we had to open windows all night to get some air in. Didn't help much. Old bathrooms. One of the two queen beds the mattress was completely collapsed. They sent us down the street to a bakery for breakfast with their voucher (they aren't serving breakfast at the moment). There were two tables at this bakery and a line out the door, so had to bring it back to the room to eat it. The room directly above us was extremely noisy all night it sounded like a group of people were doing olympic pole jumping events the whole night. In the morning upon checkout, the receptionist didn't ask us how our stay was, so I took the liberty of letting her know about the bed. She didn't even apologize, just said "oh". I wouldn't stay here again.

We are seniors, who expect a room to be CLEAN, SMELL GOOD, AND COMFORTABLE. Those three things were all present in our room. We had the only "dog room", which is #239, upstairs. It is old carpet, but clean, soft, and just fine for us. We liked the old fashionedness of the room, real wood, super comfy chair and ottoman. The only suggestion we could make is to update the tv- it wasn't HD. The price was terrific. Hardly anyone was there (maybe 4 cars). The desk clerks do a great job, take your temp, have plastic barriers, and were super friendly and helpful. The bed was amazing- I think new (a Simmons Beautyrest, coil on bottom and foam on top. I brought my air purifier and had it going while we slept, so we didn't notice the road noise, but it is right next to the street, so if you ask for a dog room, that's where you'll be. :) The pool was covid closed, but we don't use it anyway, so no big deal. They give us a coupon for Olsen's bakery, a block away. The food there and service was outstanding. Rasmussens gift shop on Alisal and Copenhagen is super- very nice owners, and they had items the other shops did not have. We also enjoyed every day the huge beautiful park (Hans Christian Anderson Park) on Atterdag and Chalk Hill Rd. Great place to walk, nice trails, dog friendly, nice tennis courts, kids playground, skate park. All in all, our two day stay there was really nice and easy. Yes, we'd definitely stay there again.

You know the old saying, "putting makeup on a pig?" This is an old mid-century roadside motel owned by the Chumash tribe with tiny rooms that has been painted in a Danish theme and updated with vinyl wood floors and faux antique furniture. It wouldn't be so bad if they'd purchased decent beds - or if they updated them when they turned to mush, like they've obviously been for quite a while. Right now, they are charging over $300/night with NO maid service, NO pool (which is curiously indoors), No room service, and dial-up speed wi-fi. They give you vouchers for "breakfast" at a bakery down the street, which has a block long line every time we tried to go. The TV is literally an old Dell computer monitor with a 1990s DVD player. I think this place has potential if they just buy beds that don't sink to the floor!

Location is great and just at the end of the Main Street in Solvang. Rooms are well decorated and beds are very comfortable. What spoiled the stay for me was the room I landed in. I would think/ hope it is the worst in the hotel #117. Housekeeping HQ is literally next door and staff has clearly no concern for sleeping guess. I was woken up both Saturday and Sunday by 8:30am at the latest. Leaving all the garbage bags outside my room makes it a lot less welcoming as well, again they do not seem to care. The room is also below the stairs and has some sort of noisy pumping station in the back (see picture), so it did not make for a good nights sleep at all.
