We stayed at the Royal Copenhagen Inn for three nights and it was a great experience! Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room and bathroom were both spacious and clean. Because of covid, they brought the continental breakfast to our room each morning (we chose what we wanted at check-in). The location is perfect for strolling around Solvang's shops and several good restaurants are nearby. We were on the second floor and there were no elevators, but for us that was fine. All in all, a lovely experience and we definitely would stay here again!
The Inn is different then your typical hotel, but it is super cute, rooms are clean, is walking distance to restaurants and town. Has no elevator so be prepared to carry luggage up stairs if on 2nd floor. Missed out on the danish provided for breakfast, we checked out too early. Overall nice stay
A group of us go to Solvang once a year and we use this hotel for our headquarters. Love the different rooms...we have been in three and found one we like. Next year we will try a different one. Great breakfast delivered...you pick your items off the paper when you check in and pick a time for bringing to your room. Very safe. Enjoy when you go. Centralized for walking the town.
Stayed about a month ago on a business trip and had an ok experience. Overall, the grounds/buildings are quaint, the room/bathroom were sizable and clean and the breakfast was ample. But there are some definite negatives. We had a king bed suite. It overlooked the parking area and some of the main street area. The room was pretty spacious - especially the bathroom! And very clean. There’s a coffee maker and fridge but no microwave so that was a big minus. There’s also a small table and chairs so it was nice to have a little seating area. The AC was terrible though! It was soooo hot in our upstairs room. No matter what, that AC unit was pretty much useless. Which really sucked bc it was triple digits outside when we were there...a huge problem. The breakfast was pretty decent for a “grab-n-go” variety. They have you fill out your amounts and choices on a menu for your stay and then deliver it to your door each day at your preferred time (contactless). They give you boiled eggs, cheese, cereal and milk, yogurt, juice, and a danish. It’s all prepackaged and sealed so sometimes not the freshest or best quality - but still ok, no different than what you’d get from the grocery store. Of the two staff members we interacted with, one was very nice and helpful (the lady) and the other was kinda rude and not so helpful (the gentleman)...and every time we asked for extra coffee items (like coffee packets and sugar/creamer etc) they never gave us what we asked for - they always only gave one - even though we asked for several - so that was frustrating. Not sure I’d stay here again - it was ok overall, but would probably try my luck at another place next time since there are so many cute places to stay in the area! …
Spent a couple nights here on the way to Pismo Beach. The place is quaint and charming and you feel like your in another country. The staff is stellar and helpful . Sadly the rooms need some updating. The furniture is worn, limited outlets and our bathroom had a bad sewer smell the entire time. The cold water has a definitive odor to it. Reported this to the office of o let them know but nothing was done to my knowledge. It is a great location - right in the middle of town; you can walk everywhere.
