Just found out Rainbow Lodge is closed. This is a great place - that had a fabulous Sunday brunch. Hope to see them re-open - great location and we've always stopped there on our way to Reno and enjoy spending a night there or 2

The lodge is great. It is in a lovely peaceful place. Trees, rocks, river, nature!!! We had a room that had a partitioned off bathroom, Rooms as you would expect from the late 1800's were small but cute and quite comfy. The bedding was good and the mattresses comfortable. We had a lovely view out the window. The recently done...

Went to sunday bunch, they have renovated the front lobby and dinning area. Food was good, service good and wonder views. Prices a little on the high side but not bad. We are going to try the rooms for a weekend and explore hiking

we had a reservation for lodging for new years eve - but on the day of, as we drove to the lodge, we got the call that they had a water pipe break and were unable to fix it. So they had to close the lodge. Too bad, as we were looking forward to it. However, prior to driving there...

This was our first time at the Rainbow Lodge, which we booked after seeing it in Sunset Magazine. It's under new ownership and everyone who works there seems like they're working really hard. It has the feel of a family-run operation. We were there the week after Christmas and the staff seemed flustered by the number of guests and phone...

When my husband and I heard the lodge was under new ownership we were thrilled. We had our honeymoon at the lodge and returned every year for our anniversary until it fell into disrepair. We drove up and actually had a nice conversation with the new owner. He informed us he was taking down all the "old" posters and paintings...

This is our 3rd at the Rainbow Lodge over the years. Hope the new owners can make a go of it because we love staying there while skiing at Royal Gorge. They were clearly having issues with reservations and in the restaurant but overall everything worked out great for us. Originally had us booked in a room with bunk beds...

We pulled off hwy 80 just after a busy weekend in Carson City I pulled off to avoid a Traffic Jam .I was extremely tired and needed to rest. The owner had no rooms avail due to a lack of employees and unforeseen circumstances. He gathered his family and made up a room for us while we enjoyed a cocktail...

Cozy historic setting. Under new management - doing all the right things. We spent a mini-reunion weekend there with a group of about 20. We partied hard and half the staff and some stray Burners joined us. Great setting on the Yuba River.
