Great little inn with updated, clean rooms. There was a hot springs heated pool down the street that could be used by guests for free which was a nice treat. Free wifi and parking. Restaurant across the street was good: fresh food, large portions and friendly service. The convenience store next door was very handy and well priced. We were...

Loved this recently remodeled lodge. Located outside of Death Valley. Offers a budget friendly boutique lodge. Super friendly staff. Offers comfy courtyard with fire pit. Loved the small town and everything (store, pool, cafe, museum) within walking distance. Would definitely recommend staying here!

I have to say it from the beginning - I really love Shoshone. I have stayed here for the 2nd time while visiting Death Valley. I love the village and i love the Inn. Rooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean, beds amazingly comfortable. Old Timers looks a bit "not-promising" from the outside, but you will be amazed by the level...

We wanted an alternative to Furnace Creek where we have stayed twice but last time was not so good. we researched and found this one. Service was great and really down to earth in a non American way. Rooms were very clean and also modem with some nice smelling lotions provided in a small gift type of bag. The main...

Great motel. Very comfortable. As another reviewer said, don't let exterior fool you. We were very comfortable in our spacious, well appointed room. Very good internet. Close convenience store and restaurant. Good place to stay between Death Valley and Las Vegas. Great pillows. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Clean room. Quiet. In room couch. We had a king suite, and were...

This is an older hotel, and the exterior shows it. So you might expect this to be a bit of a rustic Death Valley character. But once you open the door to your room, prepare to be surprised! The rooms are fully upgraded with bedspreads and pillows that are more in line with a boutique hotel. Nice fridge, and a...

Smaller rooms due to the age, but re-done top to bottom inside. It has the advantage of old(ish)world exterior but all the comforts of updating. Clean, comfortable and stylish fittings. Wi-Fi too! Great warm pool jus up the street. , ,

Spent two nights here as base camp for Death Valley National Park. Updated motel rooms. Evening fire pit. Warm spring pool up the road (which due to high winds we didn't get to enjoy). Pam at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. My only suggestion is to add mini fridges to the motel rooms... the Shoshone General does...

So happy to have found Shoshone. The whole village is a revelation, so different from other littered, junk-filled desert towns. The town is not "cute." It reflects the history of the place, and honors the amazing nature that abounds in this valley. The buildings are nothing special, but they are old, tidy and attractive, without being faked at all. The...

Not knowing where we were going to stay exactly while in Death Valley National Park we fortunately bumped into a couple at the visitor's center at Stovepipe Wells that recommended we stay at the Shoshone Inn. Our original plan was to go a little farther past Shoshone to Pahrump but that's too far of a drive when you want to...
