Stayed for a couple of nights to see Sausalito. Hotel in great location, car park opposite is $20 per night charged by hotel. Rooms are adequate for a couple of nights. No restaurant on site but coffee maker in room. Reasonably clean, a little dated but safe and staff very helpful.
Perfect location in center of town on waterfront. Little dated but characterful hotel. Comfy bed. Noisy in the morning with street cleaning etc but lovely views of the harbour so worth any noise. Parking straight in front of the hotel. Helpful recommendations from the chap who checked us in.
Stayed here for three nights. Very pleasant. Nice view of the bay and the main street. Centrally located and very quiet. Friendly staff. Parking close by. Robin was very helpful. And thank you to Matthew: our smoke alarm began chirping around dinner time, and Matthew had remedied the problem by the time we got back to our room.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience for our stay in the hotel. The room overlooked the bay where the ferry docks and sitting by the window we could see over to Tiburon Bed very comfortable and many pillows, wonderful light weight blanket with warm fluffy comforter on top Bathroom amenities spa quality Robin at the front desk was the friendliest desk clerk as she greeted each visitor. She truly is a treasure for the hotel I highly recommend this hotel, put the car in the lot , walk to shops, restaurants and along the path by the bay Lighthouse Restaurant for breakfast, Scomas for lunch, and Lapperts from Kauai for after dinner ice cream
Small cosy extremely well kept with the best front desk service ever .Robin was there on our arrival and was just the best : helpful in every way . The location couldn’t be better . The rooms are very nice and accommodating . We will definitely come back
Hotel Sausalito was a great find in a great location. Quick overnight trip and was looking for a hotel right in the center of everything - this was definitely it. Overlooks a very nice park and also had views of the bay from both of our rooms, great beds - super comfortable.......had a great nights sleep. Nice amenities with in room coffee and toiletries. Appreciated the call from Carolina confirming our check in and the time, it was really nice that we were able to check in early. This hotel reminds me very much of European pensione more so than a traditional American style hotel. Just a few things that kept me from giving Hotel Sausalito 5 stars - 2 of my 4 outlets didn't work, would have been nice to have a few hospitality items like bottled water, I get they don't do breakfast but even power bars and apples would add a little something to the experience. Lastly there is a deck but it needs work, some tables and chairs and empty planter boxes - kind of an unwelcoming area that seems like an after thought - needed some work to bring it up to the level of warmth that the rooms had…
This was the beginning of a long road trip and it was a pleasure. The room was clean and very pretty. We love historic places! Perfect location with easy walking to shops and restaurants. The front desk gal is a riot!
I stayed during COVID restrictions, and the logistics could not have been smoother. Michael called to find out what time I expected to arrive, then met me at the door and showed me the (simple) procedure for getting in and out of the hotel while the front desk was unmanned (again, COVID restrictions). He also recommended great local restaurants, and gave me his number and said I should let him know if or when I needed anything. The room was clean, well-stocked (so much coffee! and lovely shampoo/conditioner) and had a lovely bay window. And the location is *perfect*. I would certainly stay again. Really great value for a lovely place with great service.
Looked at all the rooms and picked one that was described as having a nice view. The view was ok but it was noisy. The bed was uncomfortable. Every time my husband moved, I bounced. I don’t know what the cause was but twice in the middle of the night there was a huge rumbling noise in the hotel walls. Guests were walking in the hallway in their nightwear trying to figure out if it was dangerous. Definitely not returning.
The staff is excellent and they do have Bay views although obstructed somewhat. You can't beat the price for a nice place...period. Doesn't have a restaurant, but it's a short walk to everything as it's right in the Sausalito hot spot.
