I did not like this hotel, we stayed one night and left! the air conditioner was loud and the condensation leaked water all over the floor and dripped loudly at night, no ac in bedroom #2. They tried to charge more money, scammed us twice. The woman in the office sent my daughter back to fill out paperwork and then...

It was a quick walk to the boardwalk, pier, and beach. Parking is very tight at the hotel, but there is a more spacious paid parking spot directly adjacent. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Beds were comfortable.

I stayed here Once. Good location as its across the street from the Pier/ beach which I liked. I enjoyed my first stay so months later decided to book another room. Turns out they only have one nicer looking room which I was surprised to find out. They have a limited number of parking spaces

If there were a minus button, that's what this place would receive. Therefore, I will give it the lowest possible rating. I am not a high maintenance person but when you spend close to $500 for two nights, certain amenities are expected. I checked in at 3:00 pm on 04/30/2016, at the advertised time. Their lobby was approximately 6'x12'. Off...

Great location to Santa Monica Pier and shopping promenade etc., can walk to all areas easily with plenty of restaurants nearby. Rooms typical to age of property, very clean and staff very helpful with any requests we had during our stay of 3 nights.

While this hotel is quite close to the beach (a quick 2-3 minute walk), its just a motel/lodge in every other way. Our room was sadly at the front of the hotel and the street noise was enough to keep you from sleeping well or wake you in the morning. We booked a two bedroom which is nice to have...

Perhaps everything in Santa Monica is a little expensive but I was expecting something nicer. It's clean, got all the extras like coffee machine, iron, fridge etc. Parking in their spaces is $22 per night. As long as you are planning on being busy, it's a reasonable place to sleep.

This is a motel that is expensive by most standards, but relative to other nearby places in Santa Monica, is vastly cheaper. We got a room facing the street, which was nice because it had a separate bedroom, but it was incredibly noisy (traffic) and bright (from the motel sign). They advertise coffee and tea anytime of day, but if...

We stopped here for two nights in Dec 2015. It's cheaper than many places in Santa Monica, which is expensive but would hardly be rated as a bargain. As we only really needed a place to sleep it suited our needs as the location is great being just a three minute walk from the peer and therefore within easy walking...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
