This is a family-owned motel right on Main Street in Santa Monica. The location is great - being within walking distance to the beach, with good restaurants close by (including the fabulous Chinois on Main in the next block down and La Vechhio Italian right across the street), and very reasonably priced. Lots of foreign visitors stay here as well...

My daughter and I enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Friendly office staff and great location. Buses run out the front and the beach is only a few blocks away. Great cafe downstairs - we grabbed breakfast there every day. Rooms are very clean and we had minimal noise. Fridge is a great bonus! Would recommend to anyone visiting Santa...

You can walk to everything from here! There is also a great farmers market across the street. We picked up wonderful fruit and cheese for our drive up PCH. Only complaint about room is the shower. No water pressure and in need of new faucet. Friendly people working there! Recommend as very good value in a great location!

I was blown away by the location. This motel is surrounded by large, high end hotels right by the beach. The price and location can't be beat! Clean rooms! Walk to the beach! Best stay on a budget!! Friendly staff! What else can you ask for!

Great location, clean rooms, with wide beds and restrooms. The personal are efficient and nice. Wonderful experience. Not far from the beach and in walking distance to Santa Monica pier. Near to laundry and to a wonderful cafe, Urth Cafe. Expect some noise, though, especially friday and saturday.

We scheduled a girls weekend in Santa Monica and have a friend who stays at this Motel every time she goes there to see her son at school. We stayed in room 41 which appears to have been a one bedroom apartment at one time. It has a great balcony that overlooks Main St. A full kitchen, though it only...

Stayed here after reading recommendations from the most seasoned experts on Trip Advisor. We came to see LA over 5 days and thought it would make a good home base despite LA traffic. Could not have been any better and greatly exceeded our expectations. Our room was a suite away from the street. It seemed like it might be a...

Clean, convenient, friendly. Not fancy. We had a wedding in the area. We were able to walk and see the area, we visited Santa Monica pier and Venice. It is cLose to the beach, quaint shops and restaurants. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening.

A very good value for location, just two blocks from Santa Monica Beach. Close to some very good food and shopping. Much less expensive than Hotel Chains. Almost half the cost! Venice Beach to the south and Santa Monica Pier to the north.

Hotel is clean and tidy. We didn't have any problems during our stay. Free wifi and parking for guests. Basic rooms but In a good location. Not sure really what else to say. All in all it was great stay. I recommend this hotel! Nice little cafe next door too.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
