Like so many of the reviewers we were highly disappointed with our stay here. The main hotel is 1 and 1/2 blocks away and the Santa Barbara house is set in between a bunch of apartment buildings. There are no amenities in this building so be aware that you always have to walk back to the hotel. We had to... More

Reception desk is @ the Hyatt Hotel down the road 1/4 mile away so your need to get there before checking in. Our room was renovated but not even close to the Hyatt standards. We stayed one night and was ok, but would not recommend - there are better value for money solutions in SB.

I have stayed in many hotels in Santa Barbara. This is the far one of the worst hotels in town. Where do I begin.. This Hotel is part of the Hyatt Santa Barbara which is a block and a half away from this building, this is where you register so you must go back and forth "walking" (its ok if... More

I am a frequent traveler and don't usually do a review unless my experience was really good, or really bad. I would like to warn people that this hotels website is misleading and as other travelers have stated, you may get stuck in the "over flow" apartment house! We pulled up to a gate and couldn't figure out how or... More

Very expensive. Expected great things. Very dirty rooms. Hard to find. Prepaid breakfest was not available. They were out of coffee. Unwilling to help or move me. Management didn't seem to care. Stick to the Hotel Milo.

We booked this place because we decided to go for a night to SB on our way to Ojai the next day. It advertised as newly renovated in 2015 and looked decent. But for almost $300 for the night, this place was absolutely terrible!! First, we had to call over 5 TIMES to make sure we got in this place... More

We booked this hotel on the grounds that it had been recently renovated. We visited for the 4th of July for2 nights. When we entered the room I immediately noticed that if it were renovated it was cheaply done. On the2nd day I decided to pull the curtain back to look at the ugly view of other apartment buildings. To... More

We choose the Santa Barbara house because we have been to the Hyatt down the street and had a good experience. This was completely different. The staff explained that this place was "better" that the actual Hyatt because it was recently renovated. The furnishings and bedding were new and nice but there were minor things that were overlooked. The shower... More

I think the most important thing to keep in mind is that Santa Barbara is a VERY expensive place to get a hotel. However, that being said, I cannot recommend the Santa Barbara House portion of the Hyatt property. This is an older, rather poorly constructed building which has been re-purposed into hotel rooms. The rooms themselves are decently appointed,... More

We stayed at the Hyatt house it's a little bit far from the the hotel itself & pricey for what you get, the AC is very loud at night, you'll hear people talking or walking in the hallway but the room is big & balcony is nice. Overall the hotel/house is ok.
