The staff was very helpful and informative. The location was great but there is quite a bit of construction going on next to the hotel. The common areas are filled with great art pieces which was a pleasant surprise. The room was on the small side but overall a great experience.

Dear Jeff F, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review! We are so glad to hear that the staff was able to accommodate all of your needs. The front desk staff definitely doubles as our concierge, so they know all the hottest spots in town for food, drinks, art, and entertainment! Unfortunately, you are right, there is...

The hotel is functional and efficient but the dominating issue is construction around the hotel. Not in the hotel but almost every building around the hotel is being built higher. I am sure once it is complete it will look great except I think it will block any view of the ocean that this hotel has or had. The rooms...

Dear waynesunne, Thanks for leaving us a review! We appreciate your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you had mixed feelings about your stay. Unfortunately, our neighborhood is under construction at the moment. However, we are just as excited as you are to have our Funk Zone neighborhood completed. Hotel is nicely decorated, staff is friendly, and location is great if you want to be close to the beach. But at $356 p/night I would have expected larger room, more comfortable bed, and reasonably quiet atmosphere. Instead I listened to drunks , cars, and even trash trucks at 4am on a Saturday morning. Room is small, there's no other...

Dear Louis M., Thank you very much for the amazing feedback! We are glad you enjoyed the hotels décor and its location close to the beach. I am delighted to hear that you were satisfied with the performance of our Hotel staff. It is true that our rooms are a standard size with a European touch. In regards to our...

We stayed a couple nights. Lovely service and room. The only drawback is they are working on both sides of the hotel building new structures. So both mornings we were awakened at 7:30 by loud shouting and machinery. They're doing a lot of work in downtown Santa Barbara, so check before you come about the proximity of works in progress....

Dear roseredest, Thank you for taking the time to leave us such an awesome review! Although we do happen to be located near construction at the moment, we are just as excited as you are to have it completed. At the same time, we are located only a couple blocks from Downtown Santa Barbara as well as the local beaches,...

There are good and bad points to this property at this time Spring of 2016. First impression was cats had marked their lobby. My wife commented that there was quite a difference from the Trump Towers Mango sent in the air conditioners and this place. We had not read pets were welcome but doggie treats are at the door. Some (most) of the desk staff were not pleasant. They were not nasty, just unfriendly and cold. One girl (worked the desk on Tuesday March 22nd; mid afternoon) was the only exception. She always had a smile and pleasant words. Onto the hotel itself. Our room was very clean. Towels in abundance. Set up European style, there was not an...

I stayed here for a work trip and found the hotel clean and quaint. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was great - a really short walk to Stern's Wharf and the beach, and the shops were in walking distance too. The rooms whilst clean and new were quite small so it did feel a bit crammed. Cute hotel - small rooms but nicely laid out. It's been cold here recently and they have wall heating units. So I'm guessing that if no one had stayed in this room for the last day or so, there's been no heat on. Checked in & turned the heating unit on full blast about 35 minutes ago - and I'm...

Dear jaynehartley, Thank you for leaving us a review! We are terribly sorry to hear that your room was cold.
