I truly enjoyed my stay at Franciscan Inn! It's a cute Inn reminds me of a cottage.Staff was friendly and our room was very clean, quiet, comfortable bed and we enjoyed a free breakfast(continental)! The beach was minutes away and restaurants were very close by. I would definitely stay there again. .

Our stay in this Inn was very pleasant. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room very quaint and the home baked goodies at breakfast were an added bonus. We loved the location off this Inn and would surely stay here again.

We stayed two nights here in early March. The exterior of the hotel has that typical Santa Barbara Spanish-style charm, and it's a great location- close to the beach, walking distance to downtown, and just a few blocks away from a local neighborhood grocery market. Our King w/ kitchenette room was pleasantly clean and comfortable with nice amenities, and they...

We recently stayed for two nights while we were visiting our son. We had a very nice stay. It was a great location and would be really great during the warmer weather. The staff was nice and very helpful. The pool and hot tub were clean and the pool was heated to a nice 82 degrees. The breakfast was a...

Many of the hotels in SB are motel-like although called inns. The Franciscan is a remodeled motel type of accommodation. Our room was quite pleasant and comfortable with new furniture, wall prints etc. The hot tub is secluded and also quite nice. The pool is next to the parking lot which is not so pleasant. However, the biggest drawback are...

Nice place with some charm, and a pleasant change from the budget chain options e.g. Best Western. The location is very convenient, with the inn located on a quiet side street within walking distance of the beach, the growing funk zone and the heart of down town. The major downside was the room itself. I had a ground floor queen...

This hotel is quaint and was relatively clean, but it is like staying at Grandma's house with outdated, stained furniture and a tiny bathroom. We had a queen room on the ground floor with windows that faced out to the parking lot, so we heard every car pull up, every door shut, and the walls in the hotel were paper...

We are a family of five and stayed here in September 2014. We had the most amazing suite (we only asked for a room). Two bedrooms, large bathroom, seating are! The most amazing comfortably beds! Easy walking distance to the beach, lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. We only stayed one night, but wish we could have stayed longer.

Stayed here for one night in a lovely suite with family. helpful front desk staff who provided info on restaurants nearby. Afternoon refreshments served in lobby, tea, coffee and cookies which is a nice addition! The breakfast is a limited buffet type that is however served by a member of staff1 The location is very convenient to the beach and...

“Bedroom in suites has a VERY inconvient dresser. I can't see in the top drawer or on the top, which limits space to put personal items. Also bathroom could use a place to put clothing, etc. when taking a shower. This has just been a problem the last few years, but it sure is an inconvience.”
