We were a party of 7 - the staff put us close together. The lobby and eating area were comfortable places to sit and visit. Coffee/tea available all day. Continental breakfast ok. We forgot things in our rooms when we left and they were found and sent to us. The rooms were very comfortable. King rooms have a couch, Queen...

What a pleasant visit! Everyone was friendly and our room was spacious and very comfortable. The fireplace hit the spot. Only minutes away from Hearst Castle. We would definitely stay here again. Much more than we expected in such a small town.

Named after the architect for Hearst Castle, this hotel has interesting architecture, a fireplace in room, and tasteful colors scheme. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was clean, and I will stay here again. They had games and books in lobby for borrowing. It is more of a cozy gathering room than a lobby. Also, on walls in room...

My Wife and I stayed here on a recent trip south on Highway 1. The options in this area are not great, but we were very pleased to stay in this hotel. It has a great style in a place where you don't think you would find such things. The staff is friendly and the rooms are huge.

We drove up from LA on Veteran holiday week-end, stopped at the Nit Wit Ridge in Cambria to take some photos, walked at Moonstone Beach boardwalk, watched the sunset, and had dinner there before arriving at The Morgan hotel in San Simeon. It conveniently located between Cambria and Hearst Castle. The next day, we took all 3 tours at Hearst...

Good breakfast, great rooms, great customer service. GREAT value. We had dinner at the restaurant accross the street - HORRIBLE. It's very close to the Hearst Castle. They have several board games, which we thought is a nice touch.

Hotel is on the ocean side of Highway 1, but quite a way from the beach with no clear view, at least not from our somewhat dated room. Very clean, nice staff & free parking. Included breakfast was good. Would stay again. VERY little to do in the area in the evening, but handy for Hearst Castle.

I (thankfully) only booked one night at the Morgan while visiting the Hearst Castle and Elephant Seal Rookery and the hotel was close to both. There were several issues with the Morgan you should be aware of before booking. I went to first room they assigned (first floor) and immediately checked the window for security. Both locks were broken. Front...

Looking for a last minute getaway for veterans day since it was a 3day weekend. We decided to explore Hearst castle & needed a one night hotel stay. I jumped on Kayak, expedia, & trip advisor. This hotel was the best for the price, location, & the only one with at least 3 stars (others were 2 star hotels). From...

The Morgan is a convenient stop if you would like to visit the Hearst Castle, a very popular Central California coast attraction. It is an excellent overnight stop if you are traveling from Santa Barbara to Monterey. Make sure you buy your tickets a week or two ahead (for the Hearst Castle) during the late Spring through early autumn months or...
