We selected this hotel for its location near family during the pandemic. All staff were friendly, professional, and followed COVID-19 safety protocols with by wearing masks, social distancing, and cleaning. Check in was quick and a robotic luggage cart sent our bags up to our room in lieu of a bellhop service. We parked in the underground parking garage. The garage was not secure from pedestrians and the elevators did not require a card key to access guestroom floors despite signage that a card key was required. I did notice a couple of people who appeared to regularly hang out in the empty parking lot across the hotel entrance at all times of the day (even late at night) so I was somewhat concerned about potential accessibility to the hotel. Because of the pandemic restrictions we did not receive housekeeping services throughout our 6 nights stay. However, the front desk was more than willing to supply toiletries and towels upon request. Our deluxe room seemed larger due to the high ceilings and there was enough space for a family of 4 with efficient storage options like drawers in the console but also in the bathroom. The room also had a mini-fridge, coffeemaker and complimentary coffee & tea. Although, we also were happy to find a Starbucks on-site to supplement the in-room caffeine. Upgraded wi-fi allowed me to participate in video-conferencing either in my room, in the 2nd floor lobby, or outside in the courtyard. The lobby also had ample open work space, too. There is a bar and on-site restaurant but both were closed. The small swimming pool was also closed but the fitness room was open. This hotel with with reduced amenities and fully open is a great option for both business and leisure travel in the SGV.

I was on my work trip to LA. Had a chance to stay at Sheraton San Gabriel. Finally a Sheraton hotel in North America matches with those in Asia and Middle East! Newly furnished rooms. Very comfortable. Washroom is newly decorated. Good breakfast buffet. Robotics at lobby. I’d return again.

Beautiful modern hotel that seems out of place for the area its in. Was not expecting the place to be as elegant as it was given the nightly rate and location. The hotel itself feels like it belongs in the downtown of a major city instead of a busy suburb with strip malls in front and residential houses behind it. Despite being in the suburbs, it has quick access to I-10, making it easy to get around the LA area if you have a car. Lots of new construction around the community so I imagine it won’t be long until the surrounding area matches the hotel. Oh, and there are random robots working around the hotel. For those visiting from outside Southern California, San Gabriel is a suburban Asian, mainly Chinese, community, so the hotel and the restaurants around the area reflect that. The majority of the staff I encountered are both English and Chinese speaking and the signs are written in both as well. In terms of COVID, there’s no breakfast, the 2 on site restaurants, the pool, and club lounge are closed. The fitness center just recently reopened with a max of 5 guests and the Starbucks on site is open from 5:30am to 4pm. I’m local and stayed here for a mattress run for a Marriott promo, but for anyone visiting it’s not a bad choice.

The hotel is new and in a great location, within walking distance to many restaurants nearby and easy access to the freeways. The decor feels modern and elegant, and the rooms are very clean and comfy. The only complaint is most of the amenities are not available during Covid (gym, on site restaurants, club lounge), which is totally understandable, but it would make gold and platinum elite members feel much better if they can offer something instead like free on site parking during this time.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. Everything was clean and very quiet. Room was spacious and comfortable. Restaurants were closed, but we were given a list of local restaurants near by. Nothing really within walking distance.
