My family made a quick trip over the long 4th of July weekend to visit my daughter in San Francisco. We decided to stay at the Regency Inn on San Bruno Ave. I was pleasantly surprised that it was such a short distance from the Airport! The check-in process was smooth and easy. The front desk staff were very helpful with advice and directions to some beautiful scenic drives and places to visit in the city. We stayed on the ground floor. Our room was very nice and clean. The bathroom was huge!! You don't find that anymore!! The A/C worked perfectly and the beds were so comfortable. I didn't wake up with aching sore hips and back. We felt well rested, and were not bothered by any outside noise. There was coffee available in the room but we didn't try it because there was coffee at the front office. No breakfast was served because of Covid, but the coffee was good, hot, and strong. The staff was very quick to clean the room so it was always ready for us no matter the time we showed up during the day. They all were so professional and helpful and truly wanted you to be happy with your stay. It's nice to see the pride they take in the hotel. We will always book at the Regency Inn every time we visit San Francisco!…
I needed a place near the airport and also handy to public transportation for a very quick business trip. This place suited those needs well. Although it was a little farther to walk to the BART station than I had expected, it was a relatively easy walk, so no problems. The room was large, clean and had everything I needed. The breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had not been expecting a lift to the airport in the morning, but they kindly set it up and it all worked beautifully. The only downside was that landing aircraft were quite noisy, but even this didn't particularly impede my enjoyment of my stay.
I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate the people that work at the Regency Inn and my wonderful stay at the hotel. I lost a fairly expensive pendant my mother had given me in my room and didn't realize it until I was boarding my flight back home. I called to ask if they could look in my room and they found it and promptly mailed it to me. They could have easily told me they didn't, so their honesty and integrity mean a lot to me. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again when I am in the area. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Didn't like mickey-mouse of getting the very best rate for the night (surprisingly Booking.com better $ than phoning direct w/ AARP/AAA) but glad TripAdvisor and Booking.com ratings led us to stay here for the night. Breakfast room was cleanest best organized of the past 20 motels-with-breakfast we've stayed at! Comfy mattress. Bathtub (though i couldn't make stopper work😞) was clean, deep, and pleasantly relaxing.
Stayed the one night after flying in from Australia. The hotel is super close to the airport, less than a ten minute drive! On arrival, it's an older style place, but the room was clean and comfortable with everything one might need for a short stay. The neighbourhood is pretty much like a demilitarized zone, after 6pm it was practically deserted. The nearest place to eat is the Casino about a ten minute walk away or a convenience store which is much closer. I gave it three instead of four stars because they wanted to charge $5 a bag to hold onto our bags while we went and got some breakfast. I've been all over the world, to much better and much worse hotels and none of them charged me to hold my bag. In the end they agreed to do it for free because it was only an hour but all the same, they lose marks for that money grubbing policy.…
