We stayed during the rodeo. Ok a $129 goes for $299. The shock at checkout for $359!!! For the second night without notice- not cool. Greed is not good in the hotel business. Last visit there. The hotel is not what I call a first level Courtyard. It is little rough around the edges. Some broken screens and dirty patios....

Dear Ovillafeller, I am sorry about the shock you experienced at check-out with your bill. If you'd like to contact me directly at the hotel I'd love to research your reservation and make any corrections as necessary! I know the rate were higher this weekend across Salinas due to the demand of the rodeo and I'm sorry that we didn't...

This hotel is pretty standard. It has nice beds, clean bathroom, and a good sized room. The pool was really warm, almost as warm as the Jacuzzi. The service was good. When we ordered towels, they were immediately brought up to our room. The breakfast wasn't the best, though. It was outsourced, and they didn't have a very good selection....

Dear ezwu, I am so glad to hear that you experienced great customer service during your stay with us. And I'd also like to apologize about your experience with breakfast at our Bistro. Our breakfast is not outsourced and is made fresh when you order it. Given that was your impression it is clear that we have some room for...

The Courtyard Marriott is an interesting hotel. The rooms were very nice, and the pool was warm. The gym looked a little small, but nice. The breakfast wasn't really good. They probably bought somewhere. The only egg was scrambled, and the people forgot to bring the sausages. The wait for food was slow. I think it's good, but never go...

Dear Zue W, You are the second person who has thought our breakfast is outsourced and the staff forgot to bring you one of your items. I am the new General Manager and we are working very hard in the Bistro to rectify this. Our breakfast is made fresh when you order it and it is not outsourced at any...

While the room was fine, beds comfortable and room clean, the property is overpriced for the location (it's Salinas, not Monterey) and what you get. My experience in the breakfast room (actually it was a hallway) was not good. I was getting coffee and before I could even grab a cup, a lady interrupted me, literally stopped me, and wanted...

Stayed here a couple of nights while in Salinas on business and also to visit Monterey. Location is very convenient, right off 101. The hotel is your typical Courtyard - decent, comfortable rooms, clean, and well-kept. The pool area and workout rooms are nice, although the water in the pool was every bit as warm as the water in the...

Booked here for a couple of nights after driving the Big Sur from LA. Close to Monterey, and Carmel by the Sea. Much more affordable than hotels in those towns. California tourism office close by. Tons of restaurants and shopping in the area as well. Hotel has a pool, onsite breakfast area (for a fee), and laundry facilities. They provide...

Nice looking and comfortable hotel; potentially great base for the Big Sur trips. However, due to a design failure, this hotel has exceptionally bad room-to-room noise isolation, which seriously affects the privacy. One could easily hear conversations, and other sounds in the neighboring rooms, or listen to their TV channels. We tried 2 rooms there, both the same. This is...

I stayed here on a last minute trip, it was a pretty standard hotel room, nothing to write home about. Clean, quiet and comfortable, and very nice receptionist. The one complaint was the bar experience. I ordered a maker's mark night cap to go from the bar. Bartender says $10 (which was steep, but why not) but the bill came...

Comfortable stay, what you would expect at a Courtyard Marriott. The rooms looked updated, but the bathroom appeared overlooked. Stains on shower curtain and tub. In general, what you would find at other Courtyards.

We had a few rooms while visiting Monterey. The rooms were extremely clean, fresh, and the property was well maintained. The beds comforable as well. The front staff were very helpful - especially after we checked in late. Victoria was really sweet and helpful in directing us as to where to eat brunch etc.
