We stopped in Redding which is about half way from Seattle to San Diego. We looked into the major motel chains, but decided to give Thunderbird Lodge a try as it had high ratings and is a local business. We were very happy with our choice. The price is lower than the chains, it is close to I-5, has a...

other than the AC being situated to blow across sleeping faces, we have absolutely zero complaints. Room interiors rival much fancier hotels. Check out Woody's nearby for very decadent pub grub and top notch brews.

This hotel is located downtown so there were plenty of options for dinner. The hotel was clean and updated. We used the pool and it was perfect for our boys because of the large 3 foot deep area. The breakfast was ok. Nothing special but you didn't leace hungry. We would stay here again!

The staff was nice upon entering. Everything was very clean. They tout an in house restaurant so I didn't stop anywhere until I reached Redding about 8:45. Restaurant was closed. I was tired and hungry but parking was a scarcity and I didn't want to lose my spot so I showered and went to bed. I was looking forward to...

The WiFi hardly worked at all. We finally gave up even trying to use it. The AC unit was mounted on a wall, up against the ceiling - good 7 feet high.Neither of us could reach it to even turn it on, let alone try to change the settings. We finally had to use a clothes hanger to push the...

Downtown Redding walking distance to various restaurants, nightlife etc. Clean, Comfy and nice revamped rooms. I was a little skeptical about staying here only because certain areas of Redding do have homeless nearby. However, I will say that there was absolutely no sign of any outside the hotel or anyone causing problems. Very happy with our stay and to top...

Comfortable bed, nice simple breakfast, basic pool, and clean room. It was tight for our family of 4, but fine for the night. Great location to walk to various restaurants (el Gordo!). Biggest drawback was the loud air conditioner that woke me up a few times. It was less than $90, so worth the price.

Stayed one night on way from Portland. Clean rooms, area around Lodge appears to be up and coming. Walked across the street to Maxwell's for a burger and a beer for dinner. Front desk personnel let us leave our car so we could bike the Sacramento River trail and then returned to take a shower for the rest of the...
