We stayed in the Ariki room which was very comfortable and the owner and staff made us very welcome. The wines are some of the best in Paso Robles. A very Kiwi atmosphere which is where the owner was originally from. Breakfast with Rosa was really good. Everything about this property is clean and well prepared. This will be our goto place to stay whenever we are visiting, even it is only to pick up our wine club shipments twice a year.
The Inn is located off the main highway to the coast, via a backroad, but the views overlook the highway and the hills and valleys to the south. Our stay started with a glass of wine and a cheeseboard, as we checked in. The facility is great, with a comfortable room and wonderful great room and fireplace. The owner built us a fire the first night, and with our choice of music, we spent the evening reading on a big padded couch. The next morning, we had a simple but tasty breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, and fresh fruit, along with lots of coffee! We were able to walk the property for exercise, and then we were in the middle of wine country for the day! That next night we were easily able to head to Paso for dinner, and return for another great evening at the inn, with another good breakfast before checkout. There is a great TV and cable if one needs them (both in the great room and in the bedrooms), but overall, it is simply a great place to unwind and relax.…
Great Experience here! Owners & staff were terrific & the site was wonderful! Strongly recommend! Views were stunning, easy to get to, and wines were terrific. Winery tour with Martin was a hit. We'll be back for sure!
This was a great first Covid getaway for us this year. Cute and homey Inn with expansive views, and a few steps from their tasting room with evening BBQ access - what more could you need? Cheese platters and wine each evening, and homemade breakfasts made with care set this place apart - especially the personable Kiwi owner who makes a point to make you feel more than welcome to stay and explore the grounds - even get into the rows of vines to watch harvesting. This is our new to go place. Only suggestion to better an already amazing experience would be to portion off breakfast for individual guests rather than self serve in the open given the risk of Covid transmission. That said, this place is spotless and clean, only a few rooms, much appreciated during a pandemic getaway! We’ll be back for sure!…
My husband and I stayed at the Inn and had a really hard time leaving. We'd been up to the winery once before and knew about the beautiful views, but finally had an opportunity to stay there. It was perfect. Feels like home, but better! We ventured into town for an early dinner, came home early for another glass of wine, and to chill and look at the stars. The Inn has everything you need to make a nice dinner and stay in as well. It would be so fun to rent the whole place with family and friends. We highly recommend a visit here. And the Croad's and their staff are the nicest people you'll ever meet. That's just a bonus:)
