To be sure CaliPaso Inn is not a budget hotel. Not by our standards anyway. That said, if you're thinking of visiting the Paso Robles area you can't do better than this place in my experience. There are only eight beautiful rooms. My wife and...More
We loved our stay here! Such a gorgeous respite from the heat. We had planned to check in then head back out again but when we saw how lovely it was we decided to stay and soak it all in - no regrets at all!...More
Quiet, intimate, and relaxing. Woke up to the sound of birds chirping, no traffic. Excellent breakfast, and happy hour. Glad that they have reopened. Would definitely recommend for a couples romantic get away.
If you are looking for solitude, this is the place for you. The rooms are large, breakfast is ok, and the grounds are nice. This was built as a high end villas some years back; the owners went into bankruptcy and stopped plans to finish...More
We loved it so much we came back and stayed for two nights. This time we stayed in the Pinot Grigio room which has a so so view. Probably best to choose a room in the center of the inn.

Yes. The day we arrived earlier than check-in time, they let us roam the grounds and eat our lunch while they cleaned and prepared the room. We sat down at a patio nearby to eat our picnic lunch, and saw them change all the bedding, as they had left the door to the suite open. We also saw them both vacuuming and mopping the suite we chose for our stay. The previous guests had stayed all the way until check out time, and they did not rush through the cleaning. Housekeeping cleaned the rooms daily. We noticed that guests with dogs tended to choose rooms on the ground floor, so the second story rooms may have fewer dogs as guests. Also, on our second night, we were surprised to see two other rooms with dogs, because we never heard any dogs. It's very tranquil, or those of us with dogs ensure our dogs are well behaved before traveling with them.

"Do not choose Grappa or Pinot Grigio rooms, ask for something in the middle!"
