Visited Palo Alto for medical tests at Stanford. Location provided a short drive to the hospital. After a day of testing, the hotel provided a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The gardens and water seemed to take one away from the business of the city. The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. Food was very good and reasonably priced...

Stayed here for a local family reunion. This is an older property, nicely refurbished and maintained. Rooms very quiet. The pool and poolside restaurant were always very crowded, but the property has a series of Koi and duck ponds that provide many private areas to relax. There is a Pokemon gym located on top of one of the Koi pond...

I stayed on a Friday night, with my son, in a huge room at the far end of the hotel. They offered a free upgrade, but I needed 2 beds since I was with my son, and the upgrade was for 1 king bed. The room was great and I have never stayed anywhere with such a quiet AC. The...

Large comfortable room with sliding glass door and a cute little patio. From the Front Desk to the pool side restaurant, all the employees, very polite, courteous and smiling!I was in Palo Alto, to attend a friend's wedding, first time there. Spoke with other guest that were staying at Dinah's and everyone was pleasantly surprised to the quaintness of this...

The facilities and amenities are fine, but nothing to write home about: things seem clean and functional. The gardens aren't quite how they appear in the pictures--there are so many other rooms around, you don't really have any privacy if you want to hang out out there. The furnishings and fixtures are all clean and fine, but definitely feels older...

Because of frequent recent necessary trips to Palo Alto, Dinah's has become my home-away-from-home. Each of the rooms I have stayed in have been artistic, individual, and luxurious. It is refreshing to step outside onto a private patio overlooking the beautifully maintained lagoon. The entire staff, from the front desk to the maintenance workers, are trained to be friendly, courteous,...

We had a huge suite, right on the fishpond, with the sound of the water and the ducks (and the pump!). You would not know that you are in town, and just off the main road. The room was clean and nicely appointed. With one notable exception, all of the staff were pleasant and polite and eager to please.

The lagoon is relaxing and spectacular. The price was great. The rooms were a bit shabby. The $50 charge to hold sundries was irritating (putting it mildly) for the minibar. The parking is very tight and resulted in at least 5-10 cars a night parking along curbs without spots.

Thank you for choosing Dinah's and for taking time to share your feedback. Some banks take longer than others to reverse the hold on debit cards. Feel free to contact me directly if I can offer any direct assistance. We do have an ongoing room update program to keep the property fresh. I do hope you'll try us again when...

After many business stays over the years, I found the Dinah's Garden Hotel (previously Dinah's Motor Hotel) always atypical for its organization around the pool & leisure-like ambiance but VERY expensive (nearly 400$ for a single room).
