Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Embassy Suites is an outdoor hotel. The pool is very nice, the breakfast is good, the hotel staff is so damn awesome, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool was very nice. I can't wait to go back!!

Door doesn't automatically close, worn-out carpet, mold/mildew in the shower, this hotel needs a makeover. I used points and am happy I didn't pay the going rate, which is outrageous for what you get.

Booked one night after exploring Joshua Tree and before heading off to Disneyland. The property definitely looks dated and in need of some TLC. We got a notification that the digital key feature wasn’t working so we had to check in at the front desk. The staff was friendly. We got to our room and our 6 year old goes in first. She immediately noticed a strong, foul odor, as did our four year old. We make it in and it legit smells like someone is masking kitty litter with some type of cleaner or air freshener. So. Gross. The kids wanted to swim so we get ready and head to the pool. We first stopped to check out the evening reception. Pretty sure someone just ran to Sam’s Club and just poured large bags of random chips into a few bowls. There was also carrots and celery. The kids enjoyed it, though, so that’s fine. We went swimming and the kids enjoyed it. We managed to grab the last three towels (there were five of us) available. There were dirty towels EVERYWHERE. Literally all over the deck, pool chairs, tables, all over the place. Yikes. We went back to our room to get ready to grab dinner. The smell had gotten worse but still trying to deal with it. I wanted to plug in something and notice one of the outlets had something sticking out of it. Maybe someone broke off a prong and left it in there? Who knows, but definitely not safe or functional. We get back after dinner and realize we need to either switch rooms or find a new place to stay. The smell is overwhelming and starting to give me a headache. After some quick research on the Google, it seems mold or toxins that form mold can smell like ammonia/cat litter. It could also be a coolant issue with the AC. Great, especially considering it had dropped on my husband when he was standing under it. I went down to the front desk (after three attempts to call) and explain to them what’s going on. They don’t seem shocked in the slightest. They offer another room a few doors down. We go in and same smell. So, we get another room that’s in the opposite side of the building. No smell…yet, anyway. We decide to stay simply because we couldn’t find another property nearby that could accommodate a family of five that was available last minute. Plus, it was nearly 10pm and we had been awake since 3am ET traveling. I woke up this morning around 4am (I’m still on eastern time) and notice THE smell. It’s not as pungent but I got up and turned the AC immediately. Ugh. Oh, and let’s not forget to mention that I slept with two of my kids and my husband with our other kid because we were all too afraid/grossed out to sleep on the sleeper sofa. Yeah. Fun times. Do yourself a favor and heed all the other reviews of this property. AVOID. This is not a typical Hilton property. I am actually extremely shocked it’s allowed to be branded under the Hilton name. It’s bad. So. BAD. Also…the Hilton Honors wifi never worked. Not once. I called down and the guy was like, “Let me restart the router again.” Uh, great! Didn’t work. Again, I have stayed at several Hiltons of various type (just did a Home2Suites Friday). We love the brand and have never experience anything like this property. So gross.

booked this hotel, as we had a golf buddies get together. The one and only positive about this hotel was the front desk staffer Alex, he actually cared about the guests and handled all concerns in the upmost professional way. He listen and reviewed our issues from leaky water from the air-conditioner to backing up tub not draining, too housekeeping. Also being stuck in the elevator with tempertures in the 40'-47c range even for ten minutes. By the way you must request housrkeeping if you want the room cleaned and made up. Hilton Embassey Alex is a professional you are luck to have him with the hotel. As for staying here I would recommend avoiding this Embassey suites. Even their sign is not visible at night.

As a former regular guest at Embassy Suites this has to be the Worst stay ever. Not a Hilton Members place to stay. Mold in shower, dirty carpets, old towels, filter on AC unit is so dirty you can see the build up on it. Saturday morning attempted to sit outside with our coffee but the gardener has been roaming around the place with LOUD blower, hedge cutter exhaust blowing towards people on the patio. Absolutely the worst.

First impressions: Blood on outer door, dirty carpet, dirty shower, dirty toilet, plumbing slow, building old and tired. Problems: shower does not drain ( had to shove a bar of soap under the plug). Shower floor brown in color, No Hot water day 2 and 4. All around dirty feeling around the building ( except the lobby). Air Con very loud. Positives: Breakfast omelettes/staff were great. Friendly front desk doing the best they can with what Hilton provides them. Maybe change the sign to Motel 6 This Hotel needs an absolute overhaul if it wants to continue to be called a Hilton.

I was definitely really worried about staying here after reading all the terrible reviews prior to my stay. However, it was not as bad as it could have been, but I do not plan to ever come back here unless the property makes some SERIOUS upgrades. THE BAD: Guestrooms need to be renovated. The mattress was like sleeping on a sponge, so my back every morning was racked. The carpet was stained and gross looking. The AC was so loud, it was sleeping next to a jet engine. The room has this dank musty smell, which is probably from water leaks. THE GOOD: Complimentary breakfast was decent with hot foods, coffee, and pastries. The Fitness Center looked like it had new equipment. The pool looked clean, although I did not use it. There was a huge party that took over the pool every day. But at least the water didn't look green. This property has great potential because of its layout and amenities, but the rooms need to at the minimum provide a good nights rest.

Found other guests items in our room upon arrival. Not toilet paper in bathroom. Staff had no solutions other than to say they would get our room cleaned but never came through. The rooms are extremely outdated and furniture is from yard sales. Check your room thoroughly before putting your things down.

Check in was pleasant, went too room and immediately looks and feels dirty. Smelled like mold. Living room area dingy and carpet dirty. (Don't walk barefoot) the property as a whole is dirty. Hall/walk ways and car parking lot is dirty. Feels like an old apartment building. There is only so much the staff can do to fix it. It needs to be remodeled. By a professional. We had breakfast its basic but.okay and everything was fine until I pulled a long hair out of my omelette. I was gagging. Just unpleasant stay. Still trying to make the best out of our stay we head to the pool. The pool was NOT clear, pumps were not working and there was a layer scum in the water. Sat under an umbrella and the stench of cat/dog poop was in the air. That was final straw we checked out. We spoke to front desk and they said GM would call us. I never received a call txt or email from him. Went to a different hotel. I do have to stay the front desk girl was nice, the kid cleaning up in the breakfast area was nice and trying his best to make sure we had enough to eat and even the guy who brought us towels and sheets was pleasant. It's the property. Its gross!
