The Plympia Lodge has many things to recommend it. It is very clean. The staff especially Steve are helpful and friendly. Rooms with balconies are well worth the extra money - I could see the ocean through the trees. Coffee is provided as well as a small refrigerator. Bed was comfortable. I definitely think it was worth the money in...

Let me start by saying, I gave this Hotel 5 stars because you get what you pay for. With that said don't expect any frills. Very basic hotel room and lobby. I loved the location. The ocean was just a walk away with tide pools. There's a gorgeous golf course and a cemetery to walk through. We took a tour...

Property hasn't been updated for perhaps 25 years. Old furnishings, including a 27" crt Television in a cabinet. Louvered blinds with half the verticals broken. Wicker chairs showing their age. Limited choices in the continental breakfast. You better like orange juice, corn flakes, English muffins and/or small sweet rolls. No other choices. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable.

We needed an inexpensive place in Pacific Grove mostly just to sleep at night. It was important that we stay near the seashore in a quiet place yet also be near restaurants and shops. Olympia Lodge fit the bill perfectly. We were only a short drive away from the charming village of Pacific Grove which offered anything we could possibly...

Olympia Lodge is a small, cozy and friendly place to stay in Pacific Grove. We love the location. It is within easy walking distance to the Monterey Bay Coastal Trail, the Point Pinos Lighthouse and the Pacific Grove Monarch Butterfly Preserve. The drive to the myriad shops and restaurants in downtown Pacific Grove is mere minutes. The drive is 15...

This lodge took my reservation and I paid in full for our stay 4 months in advance. A month later they emailed me that they booked there lodge for a golf tournament and they wanted me to cancel my reservation. No offer to make anything right just cancel the reservation. I then had to go through the booking site and...

Purchased Groupon for a one night stay in the Olympia lodge. The location was fantastic, staff was friendly. The room was a decent size; however, the heater did not work and the mattress squeaked each time I moved.

The rooms are nice, the restrooms are dated and the bed was extremely uncomfortable but it's located in a central area not far from restaurants and shops. When we checked in the GM was very knowledgeable and nice, he mentioned a few places to check out as well what the lodge offers... they offer a continental breakfast in the morning...

Big size room with 2 queen beds is a standard room. Very clean and spacious. I like the ceiling rafters. This hotel is for people that can climb the stairs. No elevator. Able to see the ocean from the porch and for exercise you can walk to the beach Location is not far from the center where all the restaurants...

This lodge was a great choice for our first time to the Monterey area. The receptionists were very kind and gave excellent suggestions and advice. The proximity to the lighthouse, the monarch sanctuary, the coast, and the quaint downtown was more than we ever expected. It's all right there! We will plan to come back to Pacific Grove and would...
