We will certainly tell everyone we know what a great time we had. Everything was perfect. Can't wait to take our children and grandchildren for a visit. Thank you Blythe and Mark for allowing us the opportunity to stay at your lovely place and for all of your hospitality!

Words cannot describe the beauty of this location. Sandy Bar is out of the 40's with 6 or 7 cabins facing the river. We stayed in unit 7 one night and unit 5 the last night. Unit 7 is large with 2 bedrooms and 5 was a single bedroom. Each room has the normal type kitchen but in addition each...

Sandy Bar Ranch is a wonderful place for a vacation. The owners, Blythe and Mark, are wonderful, as well as the other staff. The cabins are sweet and comfortable, with decks up looking out toward the river. And the river is glorious - cool, but not too cold, with a sandy (of course) beach, and a great rock to swim...

I stay here once or twice a year. I love these cabins! remote, private, with full kitchen. Pets are welcome. The hosts are wonderful kick back people! Don't do your shopping in Orleans! Shop at a bigger city like Yreka or Eureka/Arcata even Willow Creek, Happy Camp or Somes Bar these are better than the Orleans Market. Stock up and...

Absolutely refreshing experience to spend a few days in this remote jewel of the six rivers national forest. My interest in Permaculture and Sustainable living brought me to cross paths with Sandy Bar. However what we found there was kind and courteous hosts and incredibly relaxing hideaway spot laced with gorgeous views, landscapes, hiking trails and swimming holes on the...

The Klamath River is located in a VERY remote area of California and the boom years of the logging years have long past. I have visited this area for fishing for over 25 years and you will NOT find modern lodging or conveniences. But for a quiet outdoor experience you will find it great. You will need to be fully...

It's been exactly 10 years to the day since we converged on Sandy Bar to celebrate the patriarch's 80th birthday. Family came down from Washington and up from L.A. We took 2 cabins and everyone, from youngest to oldest, had a ball. We never left the place, but why would we? It offered everything an outdoorsy group could possibly want:...

Our five days at Sandy Bar Ranch were outstanding. The cabins are not fancy but very well equipped and provided absolutely everything we could ask for. If you want to spend some quality time hiking, swimming, fishing etc but want to be able to take a nice warm shower and cook this place is perfect. Cabins have a main room...

Find this place if you are in Orleans! Not much else in Orleans, except for nature. Comfy, very well equipped cabins. The cabins get hot by day, but cool down for easy sleeping at night. I loved being able to purchase the organic garden produce and other local treats (sausage, frozen meals for 4-6 people). Some decent bicycle riding around...

We just returned from our 2nd annual trip and we are already looking forward to next year, but we plan on staying for two weeks next time. The setting is very relaxing and is a great escape from living in San Francisco. The cabins have everything we need to be comfortable during our stay, without being too fancy and elaborate....
