Rooms are clean but the linens are very worn. The service is good. My room is on a noisy corner. It's an easy walk to Jack London square and only one block off Broadway. It is a short walk to BART station which is a 40 minute ride from San Francisco International Airport.

I chose this Inn out of the local hotels based on reviews. Although it is a 3 star hotel so are all the chains nearby and I had hoped this one would have some enjoyable older details to add pleasure to my stay. It was very much so. Although I had to walk through a huge local gala event in... More

Our hosts held a reception in the hotel with drink and food. The place was very nice authentic classic style boutique hotel . They managed all the drink orders well and the food was exceptionally good , especially the salmon.Parking may be a chore as your so close to the center of town but its very hand for the local... In Oakland for a convention and this boutique hotel is across the street from the Convention Center. That's it's ONLY redeeming quality. Room is smaller than NYC. Restaurant food was horrible and waitress doubled as bar tender so service was terrible. The fan in my room began making a horrible noise. Front desk tells me they don't have any maintenance... I went with 3 other friends for a concert at the Fox Theater, and this place did us perfectly. Cool old school vibe throughout the building, nice bathroom/beds. A bit smaller rooms than normal hotel rooms, but definitely worth it, and only a 10-15 minute walk to the Fox.

It's a 1920s building so doorways, everything is narrower and smaller, but you get a sense of history. Awesome location, near great food - Cosecha, Oakland Chinatown, the waterfront. I felt safe walking around at night by myself. I take the stairs so I was not affected by any slow elevator. No it is not a five star hotel, feels... More

Gruff check in experience, we were assigned a corner room which suited wheelchair users with a walk in shower, it was a one night stay, we were there 12 hours or so so it did the job but the holes in the net curtains were unacceptable as was the rate paid, it was one of the most expensive places we... I had read the reviews. Had a longer business stay. Location was great for walking to and from the office and local restaurants. Was clean and convenient. Know going in that its a bit older with smaller rooms and slow elevator.

We have stayed at Washington Inn several times and recommended it to friends. This hotel is not fancy, but reasonable rates and its location is convenient, close to BART, civic center, Old Town and Chinatown, all in short walking distance. Many good restaurants nearby, and in the Swan Market across the street. Our favorites are Cosecha (Mexican), Cafe 817 (breakfast... More
