We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights during thanksgiving. The hotel staff is nice. Free breakfast is served from 7-10am. When we eat breakfast at 9:50am, the staff even refill the empty buffet pan for us. Everyday the breakfast is different. I love the cozy lounge that the hotel has. The room is clean and spacious. Super nice hotel, strongly recommended.
After failing to book in Yosemite itself we, through the parks service, booked the Hounds Tooth Inn. This place is fantastic. A warm welcome from Tammie. Wine, cheese and charcuterie platter from 6pm and a snack fridge (free) full of water, cans and food to see you through a days hike. The breakfast was excellent. Fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, cooked breakfast, pancakes. The selection was fantastic. A special mention goes to a member of staff Tammie who was informative, friendly and made our stay a very welcome one.
The hotel is very cozy and beautiful, all the employes are very atentive and the service is pretty presonalized. The atention to details and the food makes it a perfect place to stay. They have some games and the complementary "wine time" is perfect to have an evening near the fireplace
My husband and I had a great time at Hounds Tooth Inn for our mini honeymoon! We decided to delay our full honeymoon trip with international travel until 2025 but we still wanted to do something special after our wedding, and the Hounds Tooth Inn was perfect!
My husband and I came here to celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary and SO very glad we did. It’s so cute, clean, cozy and conveniently located! It was our first time going to Yosemite and we couldn’t help falling in love with the small, quaint and charming town of Oakhurst too. We definitely felt like we were far, far away from the hustle and bustle life in SF! We loved absolutely everything from the friendly locals, delicious smoked bbq to of course the amazing sites, Sequoia trees and Sugar Pine train ride around Yosemite. Everything was absolutely perfect and went off without a hitch, BUT….what we really, truly loved the most was the reception hour with the amazing host Tammy!!! She is just awesome and so warm, caring, down to earth and attentive! I called her our mama bear! We almost left to have dinner elsewhere but thanks to Tammy and some nice folks we met at the reception hour in their cozy living room in the lobby, we stayed and enjoyed the rest of our anniversary there until 10 PM. We had so much fun that we lost track of time! I am so grateful that they offer this amazing and generous amenity and hope the owner never does away with it as it’s truly the reason people love staying at bed and breakfasts like these that still exist. They make you feel at home and never wanting to leave! The breakfast is hands down the best food thanks to their awesome chef Carlos! All in all, it was a the best decision we’ve made and will definitely be back! Thank you Tammy! :)…
Excellent Inn Close to Yosemite park Very friendly staff especially Tammie Nice room Good breakfast ! They serve complementary wine and hors d'oeuvre at the end of the day Free soda's water and coffee and muffins the whole day Lovely place to stay for a few days
We loved our stay here! The staff is wonderful and everyday we started with a delicious breakfast and ended the evening with wine and tapas. It was also fun meeting and talking with other guests in the quaint reception area. Our room was comfortable and very quiet. It’s fairly close to the South entrance of Yosemite which was a big plus for us. Would highly recommend Hounds Tooth Inn.
This is a fantastic base for exploring Yosemite - we stayed for 3 nights and would highly recommend it. The room had everything we needed, the staff were helpful and the inn provided high quality breakfasts, a range of snacks and a fun wine reception. The only slight issue we had with a ground floor room was smoking outside and we asked the manager to move the tables from outside our room because people were setting up late night picnics and smoking immediately outside our room. As we had just arrived from the UK and were jet lagged, so this was not great. This was remedied quickly however.
My wife and I stayed at this beautiful B&B for a quick little getaway. We were greeted by warm and welcoming staff from desk clerk host to the manager. The inn was beautifully decorated and was clean and quite. The had lots of little extra that were included as well. But I will leave those details out for you to be pleasantly surprised like we were. We will definitely revisit this hotel again in the near future!!
Easy to find with the huge sign and plenty of free parking with electric charging points. Check in was easy, fast and friendly and we were shown to our room (9), with a fire place and gas fire. The room was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Little things like the ability to have an open window with a mosquito net were welcome. Toiletries supplied were high quality as was the welcome cookie and coffee machine. Evening canapes and wine tasting was a pleasant inclusion and breakfast was hearty and high quality. Cannot recommend this place enough.
