Just returned from our second stay at Bay Shores. It was just as great as the first time. Great location on the peninsula. Close to the beach and restaurants. We were there for a week and did nothing more than relax and eat. Car stayed in the same spot for the entire time. We love the roof top patio for...

My room was perfectly clean and full of local charm. While not really large, it was enough. Overlooking the new Marinapark and up-bay views was not anticipated, but fully enjoyed. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the local community. The views from the top deck are AWESOME! Truly fabulous eateries are in walking distance. Over a weekend, this...

This hotel was perfect. The coolest dude checked us in - Warren I think was his name - he seemed like he’d done this all his life and still loved every second of it. There are amazing flowerbeds everywhere in the courtyard. Our room on the, second down the hall. Giant, wall-sized painting of a surfer. With its own special...

I just love this place. It is a small privately run establishment which does a great job of welcoming its guests most of whom seem to be either returners or first timers who suggest they will be back. It is situated one road from the beach however the distance to the beach is not much farther than the distance from...

Great location a block from the beach, superb service - feels like a family owned hotel with people who really care about your experience, a lovely rooftop patio with beautiful views, complimentary breakfast, really reasonable prices for the area. I purposely book my Southern California work trips between San Diego and L.A. to be able to spend a night here....

2 couples shared a 2 bedroom suite and really saved $. We walked the 2 blocks to the beach and later to dinner on the bay. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was a great money saver too. Yes the rooms are a bit outdated but for the price this hotel can't be beat. We will stay...

A mix-up at another hotel led me to Bay Shores at 11pm one night. Luckily they had a room and they took great care of me. Donna got me checked in efficiently and was great. Loved the room and the sunrise out my window the next morning was stunning. Great location too. Hope to return!

Very nice place. Rooms are clean, staff helpful & accommodating. They offer breakfast and free parking. Within walking distance (2 blocks) of the Newport Beach American Legion hall. Our room was on the Balboa Blvd side and the traffic noise was a bit much if we wanted to leave the windows open. We had to close them and turn on...

I found this hotel online and I will return here again and again. Only one block from the beach and 5 minutes to great restaurants. The service was spectacular - warm cookies in the lobby every afternoon! The room was very comfortable and the surf decor was awesome. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. A terrific experience.
