We stayed at the Clarion last night. The wallpaper was peeling, the door's wood was coming off, the room was dingy, but the coup de gras was no electricity. No phone, no lights, no elevators, no nothing.from about 11pm to 6 am. We had to walk down 7 flights of stairs. While we were told the power went out in... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I'm so sorry that you had such a poor experience at our hotel. I'm not sure what room you were staying in, but we recognize that some of our rooms do need some TLC. We've renovated some of our floors, and the rest are being done in 2017.... More

Stayed for one night while visiting Tijuana and Rosarito. Checked in then took the one working elevator to my sixth floor room. The key card lock light was not working but it did unlock the door. The deadbolt did not engage but was too tired to make a stink about it. Clean room overall, beds a tad uncomfortable. TV only... More

This was my second stay at this hotel. The front desk staff was very quick with checking us in and even offered to give directions to the venue we were heading to later on that evening. The bed was super comfortable and having the microwave and refrigerator in the room were very convenient. I really like the location of this... More

The hotel was clean my only complaint would have to be the smell of smoke in the hotel room. I hate the smell of smoke so I was disappointed because we asked for a non-smoking room the room smelled as if someone had just smoke a cigar in it.

Ms. Hernandez, Thank you so much for letting us know about the smoke odor you experienced. I am so sorry this was the case. As someone who suffers from severe asthma, I can completely understand how smoke odor can impact a hotel stay. While we do still have smoking rooms, our plan is to convert to a completely non-smoking hotel... More

I recently spent one night at the Clarion Hotel in National City, CA, as I received a spectacular deal from one of the travel websites. When we arrived at the hotel, I parked my car in front and walked into the lobby for check-in. The lobby was very dated and looked like there was a lot of room for improvement.... More

First of all this hotel is not a 3 star. The door frame in the bathroom is rotting & the tub drained very slow & was also very rusted around the drain. The wooden furniture was very warn. All around the hotel was very dirty concrete. One plus was we could not get the coffee machine to work, & a... More

I had the most pleasant experience making room reservations with Paul Herman. He genuinely cared about getting me what I needed. He also took care and ensured that the person that was staying there had everything he needed. I am truly grateful for his customer service it is very rare now a days to be treated with such respect and... More

I booked this hotel because it had a 3 star. Big mistake! The AC was super noisy, never cooled up and didn't let us sleep. The room was too hot the entire night. The housekeeping did a great job in cleaning but it is so old and outdated it felt disgusting. The curtain had two big holes, no privacy. The... More

In all fairness I booked this place completely last- minute as on a "deal" website. We booked the room for about $100 which was much cheaper than many San Diego hotels. When we checked into the hotel we were greeted by a very kind gentleman that informed us that they only smoking rooms available. He did offer to have someone... More

Stayed in the 7th Floor, excellent view of the bay. Easy access to Freeway. Decent room with responsive front desk and housekeeping staff. Enough covered and uncovered parking. Good return for the money you send.
