Had a nice room with comfortable bed and pillows. However, there is an adjoining room and we could here the talking next door. Not talking loudly, can even hear coughing. Either thin walls, or this is due to the adjoining door. Quaint bar and fireplace in lobby. Enjoyed it!

Hello Susan, Thank you for the kind comments about the comfort of our bed and the lobby. I appreciate your observation regarding the noise from the neighbors adjoining doors. I will look into that matter and see if there is anything that we can do to reduce the noise. We hope to see you on your future visits to Monterey....

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Our room was lovely and clean. Location has both parking lot and underground parking- fee charged. WiFI was OK and the onsite amenities were wonderful! There is a sparkling pool and jacuzi, an outdoor firepit which the staff lit and provided long roasting sticks for the marshmellows and they provided chocolate and graham crackers for making smores. There is an...

This was a big business mistake. This hotel is older, thin walls, small bathrooms with low water pressure and hot water that doesn't last more than five minutes in the shower. Add to that a young reception staff who can't control their guests and don't honor requests from HiltonHonors members (room away from ice machine and elevator). This hotel also...

Dear Texas Shoe Girl, I certainly appreciate you taking the time to express your recent experience . I was sorry to read that we failed to meet your expectations in several areas. Our hotel is was not built as a Hilton Garden Inn. It was built in 1971 as a independent hotel. We are on 5 acres and every room...

I was a little disappointed in the hotel, I had stayed years ago and I remembered it being nicer. My room's bathroom was in in need of renovation, there was no counter space, only a sink and small table available. There was lots of wasted space. I also didn't understand why there was a parking charge for a self-park lot....

Dear Megan, I appreciate you taking the time to review your experience . Glad to hear this was not your first time back. It sounds like you stayed in one of our rooms that are designed for ADA. Yes, there is a lack of counter space because there are space requirements for ADA. We are reviewing how to add a...

The rooms are so tight, a couple can barely move around simultaneously. The balcony is larger than the room, which is useless in rain and cold weather. There is nowhere to sit except on the bed. There is a desk chair, which barely fits at the foot of the bed for an oversized desk. Unacceptable! To go to restaurant, you...

Hello Gail1 S, I certainly appreciate you taking the time to review the hotel. Hilton Garden Inn is unique and was built in the early 70's as an independent hotel. We are located on 5 acres with a pool and spa located in the middle of the hotel. As you mentioned, we have large balconies which is a wonderful attribute...

If you are looking for a place to stay during the Monterey Jazz Festival, one outstanding benefit of this hotel is that the free city bus that runs to and from the Monterey Fairgrounds stops right in from of the hotel. Dear JBSchwartz, Monterey Jazz Festival will be held September 15-17,2017. We are a 20 minute walk away from the fairgrounds and even better as you stated just a free city bus ride to the festival. I am hoping that we will see you this year. Thank you for mentioning our location and the festival. Best,

Were first given a second floor room which, it turned out, was very noisy since the ceiling of second floor rooms is also the veranda floor of third floor units. Every footfall in the room above ours was resoundingly heard in our room. Happily, staff changed our room (to the third floor!) quickly, offering to help move our belongings to...

The restaurant does a good job with the breakfast but beyond that, not much variety. Since Monterey is so close, that was fine. We used Uber to shuttle into town and avoid parking issues. Front desk staff very friendly.

My family had a great time at this Hilton. Location, price, space, and amenities met our needs. Gym has plenty of equipment. Free coffee in the lobby was nice treat in the morning and the smores during the evenings was very enjoyable.

This is an excellent hotel to stay in if you are visiting the Monterey Peninsula. You can walk to the wharf and it is close to the Del Monte shopping center. They have a heated pool and jacuzzi and a wonderful breakfast buffet for a charge. It is clean and the beds are comfortable.
