This is a lovely hotel, a very short walk to the town centre. We particularly liked the tasteful room decoration with a seaside theme and friendly staff. The jacuzzi/spa and well heated outdoor pool were a great bonus.

My wife and I stayed at the Monterey Bay Lodge for one night during our honeymoon as we travelled along the coast. We had a ground floor room which was clean and well equipped although the decor felt a little dated. The ground floor room was very convenient as we were able to park our car right outside. The hotel...

Currently I am sitting in my Monterey Bay Lodge hotel room, second floor and according to the local news the temp. has exceeded record levels. When I checked in the temp was 106 F. I checked my room because I'm traveling with a handicapped mother (83 y/o) and a dog who is showing at a once yearly dog show. Since...

I drove around Monterey, while my teenage son slept his teenage long morning hours. The location speaks for it's self, and the sign spoke experience and quality. I stopped. Yes, this property had the look of high end quality on a intimate scale. The rooms are warm, inviting and cozy. Beds are plump and well dressed, and the room has...

We were driving from LA to San Francisco over a few days and spent one night at the Monterey Bay Lodge. It is easy to access and close to the waterfront area. The rooms are not overly large but they are well fitted out and are quiet. There is an on-site restaurant which we enjoyed breakfast at. Too cold to...

Although the rooms are a decent size, it is a pretty average motel. There is a small pool with jacuzzi and a coffee shop. It was really annoying that the WiFi was so rubbish. Wven though our room was close to reception, our signal was really poor. Not impressed.

The family room worked well for our family of four. It provided the kids with their own space. The hotel is older but very well cared for and in great shape. The pool area is very nice. The location is very convenient. The staff was very helpful.

Excellent hotel for the price. Family room which was very comfortable for the four of us and cheaper than booking two separate rooms. Pool was a bonus. Breakfast in the lodge's restaurant was great with a slight Mexican take. Excellent service from start to finish. Hotel also forwarded on a forgotten belongings which I was very grateful for.
