Four of us stayed on a quick trip down to Monterey and Carmel. Clean, quiet, great location and loved the ability get obtain a nice cross draft. Enjoyed sitting in the sun watching kids play in the pool.

We had an extra night in California while visiting Yosemite and Sequoia so we decided on the Monterey Bay area. We booked a room at the Monterey Bay Lodge for one night thinking we just need a place to shower and sleep but now we are already planning a return trip for a whole week. This place is not big...

We only spent one night here, we found the hotel was clean and quiet. Check in was fast and friendly and on site parking was easy. There was a microwave and fridge in the room. It was about a 20 minute walk to fishermans wharf, the walk was pleasant and along the seafront. We didn't use the pool or any...

We spent there one night and three rooms. We were so happy to stay there. Rooms were so clean and sleeping quality was excellent. Location is very good, short walking distance to Fisherman Warf. Breakfast next door was very good and small discout given to quests of the hotel. It was much more we expected! Highly recommended!

I oscillate between 4 and 5 stars for this lodge. The exterior is kept up but feels like a motel. The room itself was very nicely updated. It had a minifridge with complimentary waters. Parking is free and plentiful. We were given coupons for a small discount on breakfast at their next door restaurant. Consideration the type of accommodations, I...

Stayed for one night when it was wet and windy. Lady on arrival was lovely as she realised we had been overcharged by booking site so it was sorted and we were $30 better off result! Rooms are a bit dated and were slightly musty. Mould on some of the windows so they could do with big power clean. Small...

This is not a fancy place but is very clean and comfortable and the staff were great. Within walking distance to downtown, Fisherman's Wharf and even Cannery Row if you are energetic. Literally a block from the bay. I give them a big thumbs up for having coffee creamer in the room (as opposed to the awful powder stuff that...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed the stay. The price was reasonable and it's a great 2 level lodge. It is a short walk (about 15 min) to Fisherman's Pier with lots of restaurants and it's about a 30 minute walk to Cannery Row. It is also within walking distance of downtown which has...

Reasonably priced lodging with access to the water is hard to find in Monterey, or so I believe, without spending a fortune. I tend to like places off the beaten path and not in the cluster of tourists and this is just that kind of place. Location..location...location in which you don't need a car to get around the more popular...
