Nice view of the river from the "view" room(s). Quiet stay during the weekdays. I was told there are weddings on the weekends. Enjoyed the morning brunch, the owners and their extended staff. All very friendly. We will come back next year.

The HDL is an attractively rustic wood-shingled building which wouldn't seem out of place as a lodge in a national park. The lobby is expansive, and the gentleman at the front desk, while not voluble, was pleasant. We had a groupon deal, which was a good value. The Lodge is right on the river, directly across the Monte Rio bridge... More

This feels like being sort of in a boarding house with several floors of rooms. The entrance is a large reception room with even larger event room close by. I was concerned that it would be a noisy night sleep as this is an old building but it was quiet as ever. The owners are very nice and there is... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night on a road trip down the west coast. We enjoyed our stay here very much, and are sorry it was so brief! The area is beautiful, the hotel owners and staff were friendly, rooms were small but clean (and the bed was super comfortable!), and breakfast (included in our room cost)... More

I stayed here for my sister's wedding. The owners were fabulous, the food was delicious, the venue was perfect and very clean. There is a large deck that overlooks the river and the spot couldn't have been better!

We stayed in that hotel for 2 nights. It's old but stylish. We like the atmosphere and the old building itself. You don't feel like it's a hotel but a family home. Their breakfast is simple and tasty. I like everything there except the wall is too thin. You can hear every squeaky sound and snoring from next door guests.... More

Good location. Hotel has canoes you can use, which is really fun to go down the river. We had room with balcony which is only way to go. Rooms are very small with no frills. No coffee in room. Breakfast was good. Restaurant was closed.

We found this place through groupon and stayed here for a night for a little getaway during the week of my boyfriend's birthday and can't say enough good things about this place. This was definitely the easiest time I have ever had checking in and out of a hotel, the owner was pleasant and there both times. We had a... More

This inn is right on the river, just steps out the lobby door down to the dock, where you have access to the hotel kayaks. This was an added plus. Breakfast is self-serve and simple. Cereal. Bagels. Eggs. Bacon. Sausage. Juice. Our room was clean and, while not luxurious, quite comfortable. It included a fridge and a sitting area inside,... More
