Very conveniently located to Stanford. As others have said, the hotel is quiet, clean, and sweet. Loved the patio, even though it was too cold to sit outside. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The fridge, microwave, and deluxe coffee maker were an added benefit. Highly recommend.

We had a nice stay at the Red Cottage Inn & Suites. Their location was not far off Hwy 101and very convenient. The facilities are updated and clean. There is a small but nice fitness room and a pool. The free continental breakfast was decent and the staff are friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again on my... More

We stayed here 2 nights during some medical tests at Stanford Cancer Ctr. The rooms were very large, the bed was excellent, nice linens, almost as good as ours at home, we felt comfy here..a home away from home. Bathroom clean along with clean carpets, no weird smell. It is not a fancy place but is an older hotel that... More

The staff at the Red Cottage Inn are the best! My husband was staying there on business when he got a severe case of food poisoning from a local restaurant. The staff brought him supplies of bland food, drink, extra blankets, even Tylenol. They even offered to bring him kimchee soup and run out for him if he needed anything.... More

This is a top notch three star hotel. It's nothing fancy but the rooms are very nice and well maintained, are a decent size, have an excellent coffee service, fridge, microwave, comfy bed with nice linens, decent TV, and outdoor patio. We found the rooms to be quiet and did not hear traffic or the light rail a few other... More

There are so friendly staffs. The room is very clean and quite. However, the room isn't a little bit properly soundproofed, so I can hear snores that goes on next door.

I always stay here when in the area -- the rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. All have a fridge, microwave and coffeepot. They also have a decent breakfast spread, including hard boiled eggs and yogurt instead of just starch. Staff is wonderfully helpful and courteous. Highly recommend!

I am visiting friends nearby--a two block walk away--and they recommended this small hotel with 28 rooms. The only disappointment is that the pool is not heated this time of year. But otherwise it is in a splendid little area, set back from the major, busy street of El Camino Real that runs from San Francisco to San Jose. Delightful... More

Red Cottage Inn is a nice little hotel located directly at El Camino Real in Menlo Park. The property is in good shape and clean and there is a heated outdoor pool. The room was clean with modern furnishing, including an LCD TV. The bathroom looked a little bit outdated, but was also clean. The staff was very friendly and... More

Red Cottage Inn is small but extraordinarily comfortable, quiet, and clean, particularly for a single traveler. Its location is ideal, just out of the way of Santa Cruz Avenue. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are quite wonderful, with a variety of pillow choices. The heating and cooling system is single-room based and easily controlled. I very much enjoyed... More
