Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing location when visiting Yosemite! Circa 40 miles or so to the south entrance to Yosemite and similar ish to the north entrance. Really quaint hotel in a small, interesting town. Overall a very good hotel for the area given the limited options within Mariposa I think. Very good sized rooms and very comfortable room. Bathroom also very good size. Also very clean rooms despite being old in age. Breakfast was the hotel's only low point. Only one hot option and limited cold options for the rest. That said, it doesn't take too much away from the hotel. Lovely staff and lovely gift shop inside also.

Nice place close to Yosemite (app 45 min). Breakfast is ok and a nice pool to cool off. Rooms are spacious, little bit out dated bit good beds. We stayed in a double room with 3 person’s it was great.

We stayed 2 nights in Mariposa. The people working there are very nice, had the feeling i could ask them anything and they’d still try to help me! Had a few questions about Yosemite and the all park pass and they answerf all my questions. The rooms are clean but a lil old looking. Still nice to stay in! Nice pool. Breakfast was basic but good. This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Yosemite!

I absolutely must give Amanda a stellar review! She managed to find me a room even though I arrived very late, without a reservation. She managed all the details with a professional, courteous and cheerful attitude that was above and beyond! Management really needs to understand just how valuable an employee like Amanda really is. She is an asset to your business and deserves to be promoted!! I rarely take the time to write reviews but, Amanda ROCKS!

I'll start with saying that I'd for sure stay here again. The place is more worn down and tired looking than the website pictures. "Needs a fresh coat of paint." However, the rooms were clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This is a very small town with the locals working the front desk and doing maintenance. They did not offer daily room cleaning and you had to call the front desk for new towels each day. However, the phone in our room did not work. We went to the front desk and they gave us new towels. The breakfast is not very good, but there is a restaurant right there, the Roadhouse or something like that, and they did have a good breakfast there. The hot tub did not work. COVID restrictions has hit these small towns pretty hard. The pool and hot tub just recently re-opened and they were working to get the hot tub hot again. The pool is very nice but not heated. My family is from a small town in Wisconsin so we did not have culture shock like some might in this situation. The Town of Mariposa was very nice. Restaurants and bars and some shops. Not big, but everyone was very nice. The locals like to talk so don't be afraid to ask them questions.

The hotel was fine and the staff was friendly. The only issues I had was there were no real breakfast options for those who are gluten-free, other than a hard boiled egg & sausage. It would have been nice to see yogurt or something like that. The only other thing was there was no daily room service. There was a sign when you checked in. Honestly it wasn't a big deal, I just swapped the towels at the desk. The only thing I noticed was the outside trash bins were filling up & not being emptied. The trash in there looked like it was from rooms so I think folks were putting it in the big barrels since the small room ones were full. Maybe make the room bins bigger.

Donna a very kindhearted person just doing her job. She was helping people she couldn't even understand and one guy being a total a** and wouldn't even talk to her, what was he expecting. Yet she helped them without missing anything. You guys have an amazing woman working with you just trying to help people and make them happy. I'd love to have her over with us where I work, she'd make a lot of people happy. So I guess what I'm saying is Donna is f****** awesome and you guys need to see that she's 1 in a million. CMW

So happy we chose Miners Inn ! Stayed for 5 nights, very fair price. The staff is amazing, everybody is so kind. Rooms are a whole other level of cleanliness, everything is very very clean and detailed. Feels like home ! The air is fresh, so is the food. Everybody smiles, breakfast is very tasty. The coffee is amazing ! Free parking, we even got an upgrade ! Super grateful and happy to come back soon :) Traveled in Yosemite park 3 of the days, very easy drive. One day at Bass lake. Great location! Great service! Outstanding, sweet and cute Miners Inn. Mariposa town is also very welcoming, cheap gas and plenty of high quality restaurants. Thank you thank you thank you ! Must visit, very recommended
