From reading the other views, it really comes down to what do you expect. Yes, it isn't the Ritz London but my girlfriend and I spend 2 nights here when visiting Yosemite and we're very pleased. We had the large room with two double beds that were extremely comfortable. While the decor won't win any awards, it's a real motel... More

This hotel is run down and in need of repair. Carpet is filthy, bathroom floor is old and stained from toilet leaking. The ac is so loud that it wakes you up every time condenseor kicks on. The shower is so small you can't even turn in it and I'm not a large person. Shower curtain doesn't fit and water... More

This hotel was in the process of remodeling their lobby, but the entire place was in need of a facelift. Tiny bathrooms, old carpeting, dirty swimming pool are a few of the things that need attention. Not worth the price paid.

Mariposa is a lovely place to visit with many a restaurant or cafe to choose from to eat..The lodge is covenient to everything and has free wifi, average facilities and a decent bed to sleep in. The staff were hard to reach at times for help but in general.a nice place to stay.

Good location for visiting Yosemite, in a nice quiet little town. The motel was tired & in need of a revamp. Cobwebs aplenty in the room, shower a bit grotty. For me it was just a base to visit Yosemite, so was ok, but for anyone wanting a bit more class, this is not the place to stay

When you are doing a roadtrip like we were, you come to a varied range of hotels, motels and Inn's. You always try to find a good balance between cost and comfort. When we were booking motels for our roadtrip of the Westcoast of the US, we came across the Mother Lode Lodge because the location in Mariposa, not far... More

Good: Location is ideal for hitting all the shops and restaurants in town. Ice machine pumps out a lot of ice for your coolers. Close to Yosemite Valley - 44 miles - without the high cost of staying in the park. Free parking and wi-fi works good. Very friendly employees and will take carrot any requests. Big pool. Lots of... We spent the night there after a day in Yosemite. The room was clean and a decent size and had a fridge and microwave. It is convenient to restaurants in town. The bathroom had no bath soap or shampoo, just liquid soap in a container. The TV is DISH TV. It was a bit expensive for what you get, but... More

This is a very nice place off the main street and lower than the main street, so little noise. The rooms are small, but well equipped, clean and comfortable. There are not that many rooms, so little noise, and the owner can tell you all about the town, where to eat , etc. This was a one night stay and... More
