NOT Malibu-esque AT ALL. This is the second worst motel I have ever stayed in in my life. Seriously have stayed in Motel 6's wayyyy nicer than this dump. At least they leave the light on for ya...this place is so cheap they don't even staff the front desk after 10pm. Save yourself the time, money ($200-$300/night), & aggravation &...

Highs: cheap price, location, location, location. Lows: location (PC Highway noise nonstop), cleanliness, room aesthetics, car alarms going off from 7am on, saggy bed. Reason to stay: cheap rate, location smack in the middle of Malibu: so easy access to the beach. Discovered "The Plate" restaurant: where my partner and I went for dinner AND breakfast: organic, clean, healthy, yummy,...

The staff is extremely welcoming and it's a great place to stay if you're on a tight budget, and have a couple of days. We had work at Pepperdine, and this seemed like a really good option to just unwind and also location wise. There are a few fast food joints down the road, and even though it's on the...

Be afraid, be very afraid. We stayed at this place in August 2014 (the date range didn't go back that far) but if my review can save you from an awful stay, I hope this helps. Points of interest: 1. Waaaaaaaaay overpriced; 2. Tv wasn't hooked to the cable - my daughter had to fix it; 3. No locks on...

The staff was excellent, the room was really just fine - BUT - It's just that it's soooo noisy off the 1, there is no A/C and it was quite hot that weekend and TWO things happened to be broken on our visit - the fridge and the TV:( They did give us a 30% discount, but we weren't able...

I booked this hotel as a stopover on a trip up Highway 1 from Anaheim. Malibu seemed the most logical and least driving time after a day at Disneyland. I didn't expect much after reading several of the reviews, but this has to be the absolute worst motel and overpriced at that. Now for the details: The floor was slanted...

Unfortunately this was the only motel/hotel free in the area as we decided to visit Malibu at the last moment. It was almost as expensive as the W Hotel rooms we had just stayed in but for much, much less. It is hot as there is no air conditioning but the giant fan was 'sufficient' for me. I don't sweat...

I stayed here with a friend. We booked 2 nights. We cancelled the second night. We where in the USA for 22 days. This was the worst hotel we have ever seen. For way to much money. Do not go here! Broken window and filthy sheets. It ruined our knight. Malibu ist the place to be. Go to venice or...

As may be expected, in a seaside motel, there was sand grits on the floor. No air conditioning. The bathroom was clean. The bed below most motel standards. We were lucky to find a room there as the only other two motels were filled.

Myself and 3 friends arrived to stay at the Malibu Motel after booking a room through booking.com. Upon arrival, the lady at the reception desk announced that they're fully booked and have no room for us. She said she had spoken to booking.com, had told them to contact us (they hadn't) and that it wasn't her fault. Four hours later,...
