My girlfriend and I went to the Ranch for new years and everyone was so thankful. It was a few weeks after the fire and this seemed to have been one of the few businesses left, but once we arrived we wouldnt have known a thing. Everything was wonderful, the staff was really

Having spent a lot of time over the years in and around Malibu, we decided that for part of our next roadtrip we would head up one of the canyon roads back from PCH and stay somewhere with a view of the hills and Santa Monica mountains. And this place was perfect. Stunning

Overall we had a nice stay but based on our experience in other 4-5 star resorts, we would give a score of 3 for the following reasons: our room was not ready until after 4pm and they extented the late check out by 30 min only, the tunnel to access the beach was gross (eg used

Very friendly, helpful staff. My wife and had dinners at the lobby and Malibu Cafe and breakfast at the hotel. All meals were delicious with large portions. Great spot for a weekend getaway. Beautiful, natural environment in the heart of the Santa Monica mountains.

What airport is the closet to fly into and how far is it from the ranch
LAX is the closest major airport. I'd say it's about an hour drive, although it can be less or much more depending upon traffic. I'd check on the ranch's status from the recent wildfires before I traveled, but I know the place survived. It's a fabulous place-- I recommend it highly.

What airport is the best airport to fly into and how close is it
LAX is your best bet although if I could, I would try Burbank. However, I think Burbank is unavailable due to the fires. LAX is quite a hike - an hour long drive on the best day. You should probably expect 1 1/2 hours in traffic.

Is the construction still taking place?
Hi Kara, I just spoke with Fred the General Manager at the ranch and he told me that there is no construction at this time.
