The Beverly Laurel Motor Hotel is a retro hotel in West Hollywood that has clearly been updated to the benefit of its guests. Our double room on the third floor was freshly painted and furnished with a microwave and small refrigerator. The bathroom had been updated with a new long granite counter and a large mist-style shower. (That shower was...

I stayed at the Beverly Laural Motor Hotel for after my chemo treatment at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. It was fantastic! The room was remodeled recently. The bathroom was fantastic. It was like a fancy spa. I didn't want to leave the nice hot shower. I felt terrific! I'm definitely going back to the Beverly Laurel Motor Hotel in 8...

You can hear everything. I have a roadside room on the topmost level and can hear the cars and chatter on the street. In addition I have what seems to be some domestic dispute as neighbors and have had doors slamming and screaming and shouting since 1 am. I will be reducing my planned 9 night stay to one night.

My husband and I stayed at the Beverly Laurel for a couple of nights in early June-- just a long weekend getaway (we're from down the road in San Diego). We knew this was the area we wanted to stay in-- near the Farmer's Market and close to Hollywood, downtown, and Santa Monica-- and that we wanted something relatively inexpensive....

Don't expect frills, but this was an inexpensive and clean room in a great area - we were passing through but wish we could have spent more time to check out wha seemed like a neat neighborhood.

I stayed for 3 nights at the Beverly Laurel as a solo female traveller from 3-5 May and I loved it!! I was a bit nervous staying in LA on my own as I had heard parts were unsafe, and was also concerned about cost as LA doesn't seem to have many budget options. Staying at the Beverly Laurel I...

This hotel is great fun. The Swingers Diner next door is so good. This is what a budget hotel in LA should be.

We stayed three nights and found the management and staff to be extremely helpful and/or friendly. The pool looked very clean and inviting. No facility for making a cup of tea/coffee etc but the Swingers Diner is next door and open long hours. Furthermore, the Swingers Diner is a must do - atmosphere, service, food and staff all received a...

Great hotel in a great part of town.Built in 1964 this is the apitomy of cool American Motels, basic on the outside but cosy on the inside. For the money this really is a steal for the West Hollywood location. Situated on Beverly Blvd its a 10min walk to the Grove and Farmers market and a $10 cab ride to the...

Went down to LA for a taping of American Idol (don't judge me -- it was fun!) and remembered the Beverly Laurel from 20 years ago, when it was slightly on the grungy side but had that mid-century LA thing going for it that made it cool. Plus it was cheap and the restaurant downstairs was great. Nothing's changed! Well,...
