The surrounding industrial-type business mixed in with stylish restaurants and Swingers diner connected to the Beverly Laurel give a confusing first impression. Now a hotel, this was clearly a motel at one time. The small, dark lobby and little courtyard pool do not appear to have changed much in decades. However, the attentive, thorough service and super clean mid-century modern...

This is described as a motor lodge but I would more describe it is a quirky boutique type hotel. Very modern and clean and the reception men were very friendly and helpful. Its on a busy road and a good location for the area. Rooms were fresh, modern and clean quite spacious also. has valet parking which was good value....

Came here with our kids and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. So conveniently located within walking distance to The Grove and Farmers Market and close to good food places. The rooms were nicely appointed and clean and was still spacious enough for our family of four. The staff were very friendly too! We felt safe walking around the neighborhood...

So I love affordable hotels in LA that don't make you sleep with a revolver under your pillow. Beverly Laurel is a favorite. An old-school motor hotel located just a short walk from Fairfax and Beverly (ie The Grove, CBS Television City, Farmer's Market, Canter's Deli, etc) the very best feature of Beverly Laurel is the staff. Wonderful people at...

We were desperately looking for any motels/hotels around the area just for one night, and found this one the most affordable (we were definitely on the wrong streets!). Checked in at 9pm, checked out at 9am and they charged us 180USD. No walk in rates. The staff just laughed at us and said well you are the ones in need...

The location is very convenient and is within walking distance to many places. The Market Provisions restaurant across the street had amazing food, the Grove had great shopping, and the Farmer's Market is a must see. The vintage feel and quirky decor add to the experience. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. We also loved Swinger's Coffee...

Upon check in, there were a few people ahead of us....when it was my turn, I noticed a "letter" taped to the FAR left side/end of the counter. WHAT? The electricity for the entire city block was going to be turned off from 12:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.! Are you joking? The desk clerk didn't say a single word about...

Upon arriving we were told we had to pay $25 per day for car parking via valet. It has been extremely handy. One afternoon we parked on the street and ran up to our room and distracted only to have the front desk arouse us to the ticket we were slipping towards. They quickly parked our car and saved me...

The AC wasn't working properly, it was hot and humid during the day, cooled down a bit at nite; Front Desk tried to fix, no good; Said no other rooms available.......,found hair ball on floor; duct tape on shower head!!
