We stayed here as our 2nd honeymoon destination. This hotel is great IF you are going to Universal Studios or city walk as there is a free shuttle that drops off and picks up. The shuttle also takes you to the metro station which we used it for. They didnt pick up from the metro station apart from on request...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

As a luxury travel agent and tour operator, we spend much of time searching for beautiful boutique hotels. Well we've just found another, the Garland, which will be added to our exclusive portfolio. The hotel is perfectly positioned for Universal studios [which we can see from our balcony]. We've opted for a suite which has two separate bedrooms with lockable...

Better hotel in convenient location for universal. Good option if you would like to avoid the large chain hotels. Easy to self park. Hotel runs a bus/shuttle regularly to Universal but if you miss it a cab costs around $8. one way. We stayed in a family suite that was expensive and faced the freeway and yes its noisy. Five...

Great Stay, great property for families. Enjoyed this hotel and it's proximity to Universal. Love that there's a free shuttle that takes you to and from the park. The rooms were well appointed, a little small, but overall very nice. The staff was very friendly, attentive and professional. I would highly recommend to families, or business travelers. We're definitely coming back...

Just got back from taking my family to The Garland for three nights. We chose The Garland for it's proximity to Universal Studios but it has more than location going for it. It reminded me of a Kimpton hotel in that it felt contemporary without trying too hard to be hip. It was family-friendly without being noisy and overrun by...

I stayed here for two nights recently and enjoyed my stay. The staff was super friendly. The rooms were small but very clean and had a balcony. The hotel has a trolley that goes to Universal every hour which is great. The decor is very retro 70's. I didn't care for the smell of the hotel. It's not bad..just smells...

The hotel was nice, but everything cost. Parking, Internet, breakfast, etc... The shuttle to universal studios was free and the driver was the nicest and most helpful in the whole place. The pool area was beautiful and by far the best amenity. Good exercise area. Easy to get to.

A real novelty of a hotel - contemporary, chic and spotless rooms but the 'wow factor' for this hotel was the fabulous swimming pool area. Swim, watch Disney films on the huge screen and then order a fabulous plate of tacos and a cocktail to enjoy whilst wrapped in a fluffy towel on your sun lounger! Great location for exploring...

The good=beautiful surrounding; modern decor, good coffee, upscale restaurant on site, that is expensive but the food and service was great. Very nice hotel staff. Decent value for what you get. Very close to Universal Studios; like a few minutes. The bad=no type of breakfast offered; not even continental and no microwave. There may be traffic noise depending on where...

Pool was great, restaurant very good, rooms really very good as well. Did laundry on day 3 or 4, that was an easy process too. Staff is helpful, and the atmosphere is very chill. I was in town on business, and had things to do in NoHo, Glendale, and Santa Monica - so this was a pretty good location for...
