We chose this hotel because it was close to my cousin in Burbank. It is easily accessible from the freeway; parking was free and convenient; the room was clean, comfortable, and I loved the retro art-deco feel of it. The lobby is lovely and spacious. Upon check in, we were given coupons for the free breakfast buffet and discount coupons...

Nice little hotel, good service, comfortable bed, parking a breeze, breakfast good. But when you are sandwiched in-between Hwy 101 and Riverside Dr, good luck getting a good night's sleep. I would rather have paid another 50-100 to get a room where the door doesn't open up directly to the road. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while sightseeing the LA area. It has a nice lobby and pool area, friendly staff, a better than average REAL breakfast and free parking. Our room DID back up to the freeway but with the air conditioner on most of the noise was minimal. Our room was old but nice. We had...

It's good to stay here if you're only thinking of coming and sleeping. The room I stayed in had this old room look and feel. The mini fridge made weird noises at night and one of the lights kept flickering.. and it wasn't even on! They have a breakfast buffet which is pretty good. They do have a pool and...

The hotel is a convenient $7 Uber fare to Universal Studios. The room was clean and we stayed on the second floor facing the "busy" street. It was not loud or annoying at all. The free breakfast was satisfying and had plenty of choices. The only negative thing was the shower water was only luke warm when I tried to...

The hotel is a stones throw from the 101 freeway. Loud traffic noise 24/7 if you get a room on the second level. The breakfast is pretty good. Has hot food like sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and waffles. Microwave and refrigerator in room. Free wifi.

A very pleasant, clean, and nice stay. Japanese flavor and style. Large room and nice interior views of reflecting pond and pool. You are paying for the location but the clean room is worth the price.

Not a bad place. Is a bit dated but expected that for the price in this location. Not sure if all rooms came with double beds, but was a bit tight sleeping 2/double bed. Kids loved the pool and was nice dinner was included. No complaints.

Stayed at Mikado for a few days while I was visiting the land of studios! I used this as a base for visiting Santa Monica, Hollywood, Burbank, and Studio City. The hotel is practically IN Studio City and it's a short and easy drive to many of the other studios (WB, Universal, Disney). The room was simple but spacious and...

This hotel is about 7 minutes drive from Universal Studios. Room is clean, shower is great, nice fluffy towels. No problem parking (free), great Thai restaurant 2 minute walk away. It's in a nice area so ok to walk around. Breakfast is served in the Japanese restaurant next door, not bad - eggs sausage hash browns, cereal and danish. Nice...
