Hotel was beautiful but the service was not great. Overpriced for what you get. Charge $40.00 a day for parking when you can park to blocks away for $16.00 a day. Charged $14.00 a day for WIFI but was free in lobby...so inconvenient.

Room was clean and service was great. Westin beds are always great. Lobby has a nice bar with good crowd. The layout of the hotel is unique to navigate around but once you figure it out its not that difficult to find rooms and restaurants. The locate was great for an event at the LA Convention Center. However the greatest...

I have stayed at the Bonaventure several times in recent years, on business and for family visits, and for me it's the best overall hotel in downtown LA. In the 1970s and 80s it was a tourist attraction in and of itself due to the unique design. That seems a bit dated now, but the hotel manages to excel in...

Got a deal for the Westin Bonaventure for a family weekend getaway. When we checked in, we were very impressed with the staff -- they noticed that we had a loyalty program membership that had lapsed, and reinstated it plus upgraded us to a nice suite with a great view of the Hollywood sign and Griffith Observatory. The food court...

Room was clean and bright. Lobby is busy and bustling with people making it a fun place to be around. Bed as always at a Westin was very comfortable. As big as this hotel was, I felt very safe since I was traveling alone and female. The pool was heated for a nice swim after a long day working. Gym...

I was inspired by this building when I was much younger, and it was amongst the buildings that inspired me to become an architect. The building is an iconic 70's design by John Portman, and it is, for the most part, locked in that time zone. Getting around the hotel is difficult, and the rooms, largely due to the shape...

Second stay at the Westin. This time I stayed in a room that felt more updated. Was not disappointed. Again, at the corporate rate, it is a very good value. Proximity to all things downtown cannot be beat. Ate again at LA Prime. Still have the same opinion of the place. It is OK.

For the price, just not worth it. The room quality was not up to Westin standards. Room smelled awful even after mutliple calls to the front desk. Most electrical outlets did not work and bed was made horribly.

I stayed 3 nights in the hotel during a conference in April 2013 and was very satisfied with everything. I specifically asked for a quiet room and was given one (far from the elevator and the ice machine, on level 21). The room was clean, comfortable and indeed quiet, the views excellent, the wifi reliable. I enjoyed having a Starbucks...

Great location, walking distance to most amenities like the Edward Jones Dome, a ton of Restaurants, Starbucks across the street, Drugstore a few block away and a nice subway ride to Hollywood! Staff were more than awesome! Helpful in every way. Conseirge was a wealth of info. Rooms were very clean, bright with bar fridge and water. I think all...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
