Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You would think that after a couple of years of Covid that when the hotel is finally getting full that the staff and the service should be up to speed. However this is not the case. There were no porters to help when I arrived with the suitcase. They used to have a very nice water urn with glasses etc. at the entry. They don’t have that anymore. They used to have glasses of champagne when you checked in they don’t have that anymore. They don’t provide newspapers anymore. The lounge used to have wine or some thing during cocktail hour. Now it has just, albeit , very good onion rings and french fries and taco chips but nothing else. Not even real glasses, cutlery or ice! When I asked what was happening they said it’s Covid. But seriously? Is that an excuse anymore? I don’t understand how this hotel could charge what they charge and consider themselves an upscale type of hotel with a service that is abysmal. Housekeeping did not clean my room until 4 pm The operators don’t answer the phones and they don’t provide anything to you. Get better service and value for your money elsewhere. This place has really gone down. The only good thing is the location.

Stayed July 11 - 15, 2022. Business stay. M Club open providing breakfast, mid day snacks, and lite dinner fair. Solid breakfast with options. Open 24 hr to grab drinks, yogurt, and fruit. Comfy bed, clean rooms. Great Valet service, very friendly and prompt. Attentive staff and helpful. Good follow up by management to ensure my stay went well.

First off. The hotel manager was NOT very nice. My AC broke on the first night and when I approached the manager she was not very sympathetic! No engineering on staff after hours so we were very uncomfortable the entire night. The sheets had stains on them and my room faced a wall! I spent 6 nights at the hotel and the best they could do was a brick wall! They charged me for Valet even though I parked on the street (FYI Valet is $56 per night!!).In summary, find somewhere else to stay.

stayed here many times over the years. almost getting back to normal, elite lounge was open again. Bar and restaurant open again (bar was open only till 10pm while I was there, likely staffing issues). Everything else still the same. Happy friendly employees, will be back very soon!

The hotel itself is tired and shows signs of wear. For example not all elevator buttons work. The rooms themselves lack sufficient drawer storage. The new wire-rim stand helped some but not enough (we've stayed at the hotel before). But what really stood out, in a not good way, was the downslide in basic services. We were on the sixth floor and the elevator lobby had not been vaccumed for days despite the presence of crumbs all over the carpet. We did not get replacement coffee for our room after day two of our four-day stay and we were also shorted on towels, the last almost certainly the result of a "bean counter" mentality that wanted to provide the bare minimum. It took a call to the General Manager for me to get a call back from Lost and Found when I found that I may have left something in my room. You really got a sense of the hotel doing the bare minimum. The location remains great although the notion that anyone should pay $57 for parking is absurd (we found a way to deal with that, fortunately, but a way specific to us). So all in all I'd say that we had a pretty "meh" experience. I'd recommend the hotel based on location (and my wife would also add the pool) but that's about it. Wish I could be more positive as we really liked the hotel on our last stay, a year ago. But things seem to have gone downhill since then.

the hotel has gone downhill Could not recommend Have stayed here before but deteriorated Very very patchy service ie for example room not made up on a multi night stay by 9 pm Its only a Marriott franchise and the brand owners in my view should take away the Marriott brand from the local franchisee

Dear Trevor L., Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your recent stay with us. Please allow me to apologize your guest room was not serviced until 9:00 PM. That is unacceptable. I have shared your comments with our Executive Housekeeper and asked him to put a procedure in place to ensure guest rooms are serviced in a timely manner. Again, thank you for making us aware of your experience and for the opportunity to correct it. Sincerely, Dan Stenz General Manager

I recently stayed at the BH Marriott for a short vacation. Having read the reviews, wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary. I did expect the basics - towels, soap, toilet paper. Pros: Very convenient location, good lounge with nice breakfast if you're a rewards member, reasonable gym. Cons: No visible management. Housekeeping did not show up days 2 and 3 of a 5 day stay. Multiple calls to front desk asking for ...towels...toilet paper - nothing was ever sent up. I left 4 messages in 4 days asking to speak to the manager and got no response. Front desk staff were polite. As far as I can tell, no one is managing this property. Very disappointing and not what i would expect from a Marriott.

Dear elyses454, Thank you for posting a review regarding your recent stay with us. Please allow me to apologize that there was a lack of management presence in the hotel during your visit. For explanation purposes only, both our Front Office Manager and I were out 10-days with the virus. Again, not an excuse as we have other managers in the hotel, the two of us would be the most visible. I further apologize you didn't receive housekeeping service on your room for two days of your stay. That is unacceptable and I have addressed this with our Executive Housekeeper and asked that he investigate and implement any additional procedures to eliminate this from happening to future guests. Again, thank you for making us aware of your experiences and for the opportunity to improve our services. Sincerely, Dan Stenz General Manager

A Overpriced Marriott With Little To Offer The hotel was completely overpriced in all respects. The rooms are small and old and the bathrooms facilities are quite old. The nightly charge was about $360.00 which would apply for a five star ⭐️ hotel not a two or three star hotel . As a Gold member of the Bonvoy Program they did not offer anything whatsoever and the rooms do not get water bottles and there is no minibar. In terms of room service they do not offer anything and do not bring towels. Room Service is terrible they unhook there phones and sometimes the don’t want to bring your breakfast to your room. The food is definitely not good and I know I work as a Director of Product Development for (7) Restaurant chains. The price of the food is completely overpriced. In general I felt Fromm my experience that the service was ver poor in all areas except the front desk. As a hotelier and restaurant consultant I cannot recommend this hotel. The last thing is that I payed for four nights and I only got points for three. This hotel is too expensive and definitely not worth the money. I had too many bad experiences with service and they ran out of several menu dishes . From Gerardo Larrea French glarreafrench@sarcopr.com

We have stayed at this hotel half a dozen times and it’s gone downhill lately. They allow dogs but refuse to do anything if they are barking all night. We finally called security at 10:15 pm and they came up but did nothing. When I called again at 12:15am they said nobody was in the room so I just had to deal with the continuous barking. I asked why they didn’t call the owners’ cell phones or the police/animal control and they put me on hold and never came back. We have reached out to hotel management as well as Marriott management and heard nothing back. We paid for a hotel to sleep in and didn’t get to sleep! At this point, this hotel appears to be for partying and I do not recommend it for business travel or anyone who values sleep.

I’ve been trying to call this hotel the past 2 days to ask a few general questions about booking, and the operator simply hangs up on you or immediately puts you on hold to keep getting transferred to NO ONE. It’s so incredibly unprofessional . I’ll take my money somewhere else then.
