We spent a couple of nights at the Venice On The Beach. This is all about location. The Deluxe Standard Room that we were in was small but clean. Bathroom was tiny. Shower was too small to pick up the soap, without getting out. Reception was very helpful. The patio was a great place to hang out by the fire...

Beautiful views in our oceanfront room. Watched he sunset from the rooftop deck. Amazing experience!! Rooms were small and so were the bathrooms but who needs a huge room on the beach! The ear plugs on the night stand were concerning to say the least but we didn't even need them. I'd say if you come in season though you...

Venice on the beach was just that... right on Venice Beach! The rooftop has the most beautiful view of the beach and ocean and the ground level area has seating, lounges and a fire pit. You can sit for hours watching the locals and waves and never tire of it. Located just near Venice pier, it is far enough from...

This is an extremely simple, yet very nice hotel in Venice. It is in the heart of one the most charming parts of L.A., right on the beach. The room was quite small but it had everything you need. It is expensive for what you get in terms of the actual room. Even the breakfast is relatively scarce, but it...

Venice on the Beach is perfectly located on Venice Beach Walk, 2 mins walk from the Canals, and 5-10 mins walks from either the Marina del Rey or Venice Beach Sign. The room was small but comfortable. Loved the bed, the breakfast buffet and the service. Charly was at the reception counter all the time and always very helpful.

Tiny but pretty room with ocean view of Venice beach, at quiet end of beach. Good location to be based for sightseeing around L.A. - places like Getty Center and Santa Monica. Continental breakfast included but no place to eat other than your tiny room. Raining when we arrived so could not sit outside. Next day was nice but too...

Great start to my stop over in LA, happy greeting while entering the hotel (and early) and told me all a I needed to know and even helped me up the stairs with my bag. Free WiFi, fridge in room, breakfast, tea and coffee all day, great bathroom products, bottled water and awesome earplugs for ensured quiet night. Had loud...

Three friends and me stayed here for two nights to weeks ago. The place is in front of the beach of Venice, not very big but very cozy. You can walk easily to venice canals or venice high street. Breakfast is self service and you can get a tray and have breakfast in bed, priceless!

My partner won 5 nights here in a competition and we had a fabulous time. Our room (Number 3) was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside the hotel watching the world go by and the 'fire table' is a nice touch. People watching was even better from the roof terrace whilst we ate breakfast...

Stayed here while on a business interview needing a little sunshine break from the clouds in the Pacific NW. I've stayed here twice. I had a rental car and wasn't able to use the site's parking, but there was free street parking a couple blocks away. I wasn't able to enjoy their breakfast. Excellent location within walking distance to some...

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
