A very good price for a place close to the Staple Center. We stayed 2 nights, the first we walked to the SC to watch a Hockey game, and the second we walked to the Theater to see a movie. Although it is just a 15 minute walk, you must go under one of two bridges to get to the...

First of all, let's be clear - this is not a luxury hotel. In terms of amenities it's as basic as you can get but it's real beauty is its location, coupled with its price. I was attending a Lakers game at the Staples Centre and, having been before, wanted to avoid the horrendous traffic and parking problems which always...

For the price you can't complain, rooms are very dark and basic but we're clean and did the job. I wasn't a huge fan of the area, couple of the uber drivers told us it wasn't a safe area, but saying that we didn't have any problems.

I ended up staying here with a friend who had already booked due to the proximity of the staples center. Splitting the cost was right so we went for it. The room was actually very clean and had a mini fridge and powerful AC. It was quiet, the bed was comfy, but the pillows were a bit flat. I also...

My experience with the hotel simply comes from my conversation with the concierge. I booked a reservation for one night via Priceline. I called the hotel to confirm it received my reservation and was told promptly and very rudely that "there is no way you could have booked a room, we are booked. We are booked solid for the next...

You can never expect much from a 2 star DTLA Hotel, right?! However the air was FRIGIDLY cold - and this was completely welcomed. No elevator, no problem. Forget the pool really, and the breakfast is to die for, seriously, but hey we were in arms reach of everything DTLA (but you already know that). Appreciated the fine bed sheets,...

Stayed one night to go to a Kings game at staples. The room was great, the location was great and the staff was helpful. Its a short walk to Staples and a city Target store that is open until midnight. We walked back after the game and felt safe.

So I stayed for only 1 night and the room was actually not bad at all. They have cameras everywhere so I felt pretty safe staying there. As I always forget stuffs, I did forget my iPad when I left. I called back right next morning and asked for it and they said the housekeeping found it. I was in...

This should be a $29 a night hotel. One of the most unconfortable mattress ever slep in. Faucet had to run 5 mins before hot water appeared. Hotel has 62 rooms with about 26 parking spaces. Stand alone bathroom sink without any supporting counter space.

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
