Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hidden just at the edge of Counce, TN, sits a cozy, back in the past, restaurant! You will LOVE ❤️ It!! Those who enter receive the very best service, homemade breakfast and lots of welcoming Love from the sweet servers and the Owner!! Our group of 12 eat there every chance we get!! We ride all the way from Mississippi to enjoy the food and the Southern Hospitality!! You can't find a better place for breakfast and it shows in the parking lot!!!

One female staff number was very rude and just shrugged shoulders when I asked to change rooms as it wasn't clean. Zero costumer service. I had to wipe down the second room we got. Bedding had cigarette burns. Room scruffy. Only plus is that there is free parking and a pool. Won't go again.

Where do I start. From the moment we checked in I was told the tv wasn’t working and that they would be straight up to fix. Now this isn’t a problem in itself as who goes on holiday to watch tv (we just have it on as background noise when getting ready) however no one came to fix and I fixed it myself. The toilet was leaking which I advised them of within 30 mins of us being there, the response I received was maintenance had gone. We suffered through the leak all night and the following morning the toilet overflowed and I had to throw all the rooms towels town to catch the water. Again front desk were informed with basically a shrug of the shoulders and told us it would be cleaned up. You have zero chance of sleeping as the air conditioner is extremely loud, and the door/windows let in alllll the noise from outside-my partner has limited hearing and still could not sleep. No safe in the room. Would I stay here again-absolutely not. Would I recommend anyone to stay here-absolutely not. Avoid this place at all costs!!

I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel in the summer of 2022 as I used it as a base to explore Los Angeles. I state that this was my second time in the city of angels and therefore a little bit I already knew how to move. In my opinion the solution to visit a huge city with LA is to take a hotel in the Hollywood area with free parking. And this is the case. The room was quite spacious and overall clean. The hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool which can be a plus after a day exploring the city. Negative note: breakfast was not included.

Staff were fantastic. Room was dated but good for the price. Pool is fantastic!! Always places to sit and relax, water is clean and great facilities. Only disappointing thing was the wifi, it worked well for the first two days, then dropped out entirely. On the odd occasion we were able to use it (by the pool or at the front near reception) it would disconnect every 15 seconds. Couldn’t use it at all in our room for the last two days which was disappointing as our phones use a different network so wifi was our only option to be able to communicate etc. staff tried to assist but nothing worked. Starbucks almost directly across the street (free wifi) and a Ralph’s for groceries etc. short cab ride or Uber to the main part of the boulevard ($11ish) and about $20 to Universal studios. Great little place, will definitely stay again!

It is a run down motel. The furniture was falling apart, floor was warped and It just felt gross. I has a first floor room. I could hear people roaming the parking lot during the night. I don’t know who is writing the good reviews. I felt unsafe. Please don’t stay at the Dixie.

I love it here! I’m a frequent visitor to Los Angeles, and The Dixie has been my go-to. I’ve made a pros and cons list that will likely be easier on the eye than paragraphs. Cons - Loud at night (often sounds like domestic disputes, which is quite unfortunate) - No breakfast included (which would just be a bonus, honestly) - The A/C is a little wonky depending on which room you’re in. It’s also got a bit of an open space around it which can let outside smells/sounds in a lot easier. - The WiFi. It’s kind of weird. The password changes every week, so if you’re staying for an extended period, make sure you ask the front desk because otherwise you’ll be bumped off the server. I feel like the location fits into the middle of the Venn diagram. It’s a two minute walk to the Hollywood/Highland Metro station, but there quite a few ‘undesirables’ in the neighborhood. Pros - Clean! You can tell the rooms are well cleaned when you walk in. - Free parking! A rarity in LA. They have a spacious lot and, with permission, were kind enough to let my friend park there while we went to a show down the street. - Security. They have a security guard on site most of the time, if not 24/7. - The staff! The girls at the front desk have always been helpful. - The price. This has since changed, and with the price being over $200 a night, I can unfortunately no longer afford to stay as much as I have in the past. It used to be great bang for your buck though! - NO b*db*gs! - The rooms are super cute! The Hollywood murals are adorable and definitely add some charm. If you’re looking for something fancy and modern, try the Roosevelt further along Hollywood Blvd. But if you want somewhere central and comfortable, this is a great choice!

This is a hotel that is conveniently located relative to the Hollywood-Koreatown area of LA. My wife and I spent two nights there. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the parking was free. Overall, it was a good value for our requirements. On the downside, the walls are thin, which makes it easy to hear muffled conversation from contiguous rooms and traffic noise. On one night of our stay, the neighboring room was noisy; the second night it was quiet. Street noise is a constant, but our room was toward the back side of the hotel; so, the noise was minimal. The hotel is older, as are many in the area, and the furniture is a bit worn, but that is not much of a negative. The AC cycled on and off too much and did not keep the room as cool as we would have liked. Bottom-line, we would stay there again.
