Pros: - Central location, I especially like W3rd St which is a short walk away with great restaurants and shops - Rooms have everything you need and they can even set up a microwave in there which is nice Cons: - Mold and/or dust from full-floor carpeting (I was sick for the entire month I was here, coughing nonstop. All my symptoms ended once I left the hotel) - Unsafe area (I saw police at the hotel every week. There are a lot of aggressive homeless people in the neighborhood too. Did not feel safe walking back after dark) - Noisy (the walls are super thin and you can hear people in the rooms next to you watch TV, cough, talk, etc. I asked for a room on the quiet side of the hotel but there was also also a big party in the building next door when I stayed here, with 50+ people blasting music until 3am. The hotel did nothing to address it even though I asked multiple times. They said it was not their issue since it was off-property) - The man at the reception hardly ever wore a mask and neither did the guests who lingered in the lobby – this concerned me especially because a lot of the guests who stay here are healthcare workers at Cedars-Sinai - Getting housekeeping every 3 days was difficult

Hotel's Favourite
This was my 11th visit to this special hotel in West Hollywood adjacent to Beverly Hills. Their COVID protocols were spot on the rooms extremely clean and service top notch. While not able to serve breakfast there are options close by and the rate including parking was outstanding. It is my go to hotel when visiting family in Los Angeles and it didn’t disappoint even in these trying times.

Well located on a busy street near a prominent medical center and some exciting shopping and dining areas. Cheerful, responsive, helpful, friendly and kind staff. Comfortable bed and nice bedding and plenty of pillows and towels. Good shower, decent air conditioning, plenty of outlets and big dresser drawers, nice full size bottles of shampoo and conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Secure self parking, easy in and out. Room was amazingly quiet despite the outside traffic. Anything I needed they cheerfully and quickly supplied. Due to Covid, they cannot set out breakfast and they don’t come into the room for cleaning. You can leave your trash outside the door and they remove it. Cold drinking water dispenser and microwave oven near the lobby. So convenient if you need to be near Cedars Sinai, and they changed my check out date several times without any difficulty due to changing circumstances. They clearly care about your comfort and happiness while you are there. Multiple choices for food nearby, and a mini fridge if you bring in a few groceries or have leftovers. I could not be more thankful for the wonderful service from Nairobi, Carlos, and Oscar during my stay.

I stayed at Elan Hotel because I had early morning doctors appointment and I didn't want to fight morning traffic as I live in Orange county. This hotel was perfect! It's located walking distance from the Beverly Center and it's an easy drive to Weho and Beverly Hills. I was actually able to do a little shopping. The hotel is cute with a sort of art deco vibe. The rooms are clean and I was able to get a good nights sleep. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a generous late checkout for an additional charge. The manager Carlos is very kind and willing to go the extra mile. I would stay again.

This review is overdue and despite all the other excellent reviews, I wanted to add my own. The Elan hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Cedars-Sinai and to a broad range of dining options (i.e., fast food, plant based, ethnic…) and shops. As we stayed for close to two weeks (during the pandemic) we could not have been happier with the accommodations of a large room with extra seating area. The manager, Carlos, was helpful and kind. He is the epitome of excellent customer service. We very much appreciated the accommodations and the extra kindness shown to us. Because of Carlos and other staff, our experience at the Elan Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for anyone requiring close proximity to the hospital. (Bonus: they offer special rates to guests who are in town for medical appointments at Cedars-Sinai.)
