Very good hostel, exactly what I read from the others' comments. It's very clean, well located, situated in a quiet street and neighborhood. It has a private parking lot that can hold up to 5 cars. Guests there are very respectful and the rules are very clear to anyone. It's just 10-15 minutes walking from the next metro station (purple line). There are no famous restaurants (from big franchise) around there, but it wasn't a problem for me. The rooms have closet, minibar, and air conditioning. As for any other hostel, bring your towel. The blanket are ok. No complaint about bed and pillow. That's what I expected, CLEAN, well located and quiet. I will certainly recommend this hostel!
A great place to stay. Close to most but not in the middle. Situated in a quiet part of Koreatown. Metro, restaurants and stores within walking distance. The price is fair. Big kitchen but to few showers and bathrooms. No keys needed all doors have codes.
Before my stay at 8th & Ardmore, I thought hostels were just a European thing. This was an awesome alternative to a cheap motel. The host James was outstanding. Runs a very professional business. A house keeper would come by daily for insure it was kept clean. Korea town had an awesome vibe to it and always felt safe walking around the neighborhood. Even at 3am lol I stayed there for 5 weeks, until I found an apartment and James was nothing but kind and helpful my whole stay. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit LA, and not spend a ton on hotels.
