This little motel-turned-into-a-gem surprised us. To be honest, when we initially drove by, we almost decided to forfeit our night's reservation and just try to find somewhere else to stay. We used to live in Los Angeles and were dismayed to realize that I had made a reservation at...THAT place. But the current management has worked wonders. Everything is clean, updated and as beautiful as possible with lots of delightful and unexpected design details. There was a complete mural on the ceiling of our room--lovely. Outside, at the edge of what is just a concrete parking area, the managers have carved out a little space of serenity with greenery and a lovely park bench. All the extra little touches have turned an older and potentially tired property into a place with class and beauty. We'll be back when we visit LA again.…

First of al!; Who in the world is writing these 4 star reviews? This place is scary. The smell is bad there is no elevator & no convenient way for the elderly or physically challenge to drag their bags to the 3rd floor. The stairs are leaning & crumbling & these ceilings look like Donaldson a scary movie. I wouldn't recommend this place to keep my pet in.

We stayed here for three nights during the week and enjoyed ourselves. Parking is a little scarce but we always found a spot. Front staff were very kind. Rooms are renovated and clean. It‘s motel style so you could hear people outside, though. Really convenient to getting to Downton LA. Don’t let the outside of the building turn you off. It’s very nice actually. They were in the midst of some renos in the stairwell when we got there, and there is also no elevator and the rooms are on the second floor. Just a couple things to be mindful of.

A clean motel-6 type accommodation. It is indeed being remodeled but there is no elevator, no lobby. Limited parking space. It does have "free parking" but you may have to park on the street as spaces are very limited. Room was clean but that is it. Wifi is a joke and barely available. You'll get a wifi ticket available per "device" with extremely unstable connection. Not quite compatible with Apple devices in particular. May be great for a quick business trip but if you are planning a family trip, please think twice. Location-wise, just off to a highway and that's it. I might have given a five-star rating had I paid $80-100 per night. But at $140-150, no way. There might be better options.

The exterior looks old. It's not inspiring. But when you open the door, you're welcomed to the luxe of a nice hotel. Beds were very comfortable. Cold AC for the hot summer. Coffee maker, and complimentary water bottles. For a basic room, I'd say that's a free upgrade. Location: It's close to the freeway, and there's a lot of restaurants near by. We enjoyed our stay and we will go back.

It's so frustrating that with a bit of TLC on the outside (even just water-blasting the external areas such as the verandahs), this would be such top-notch accommodation! Fortunately the interior surpasses the outside 500%, and the bed is amazing - we caught up on so much sleep thanks to such a comfortable two nights! Very clean.

The outside appearance of this hotel suggests a rundown hovel--but this is NOT the case. They are remodeling the rooms and we stayed in one of them. They are NICE!!! Clean and modern. Our room had a microwave, mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker AND electric tea kettle. There is no pool onsite--nor an elevator but that is stated clearly in the hotel description. There are a few downsides-- 1. Tiny parking area. If you arrive late, you will have an issue getting a spot. We were boxed in one morning by people who parked along the wall. Be prepared to not find parking if you come back late. 2. No pool --but such is life. 3. Not many restaurants around--you have to go looking around town to find something that is not fast food oriented. 4. No breakfast offerings--but having a small fridge helps if you bring your own stuff For the price we paid to stay here--it was worth it. Hopefully, they will get all the rooms updated quickly so everyone can enjoy the comfy beds and modern conveniences.…

Ok so if you have read the other reviews stating the outside is a little sketchy looking this is true, however, get past the looks from the outside and it is such a great room! Very clean with modern bathroom and fittings, the birds painted on the ceiling is a nice touch and its free parking. It is a short drive away from the boulevard, universal and disney land you could not as for a better location really! For the price the service is amazing with the room being cleaned everyday and to a high standard! We would stay here again! 😊

Rooms were very comfortable and clean . Showers were high pressure with lots of room to move around. We had the mini pullout which was great for that extra adult and kid but not good for anyone over 5 1/2 feet tall cause it was more like a twin size short.

Well, what can you say about an "inn" where the desk clerk greets you while behind a plexiglass protective barrier? The photos on the web site give the appearance of well lit, cheery rooms when, in fact, it is just the opposite. Here is my brief experience. I entered the run down, minimalist lobby and checked in, passing my ID and credit card under the plexiglass barrier. Right off the bat, the lobby, parking area, driveway, etc have an incredibly beat up appearance. Next, I made my way to the room, noticing the thoroughly worn, dirty stairs and passage ways. Entering the room was almost a shock. Very dark with threadbare furniture. The bathroom has one single overhead lamp so lighting in the shower is terrible. Tissues and toilet paper are all of the very cheapest brand. Wifi is ridiculous, requiring a separate username and password for each device. And I could never get my tablet to connect. On the positive, the TV worked well. Housekeeping also did a decent job. In short, to my taste, the Regency Inn is a dump -- the closest thing to a flophouse I've ever experienced. They really need to upgrade this property. I will not stay here again.…
