I have stayed in nicer places for the money but this worked out for convenience. It was where we needed to be at. The room had everything I needed and seemed clean. There were a lot of people enjoying the swimming pool but I didn't have time for it. Slept well here and had a good shower. Nothing really more...

We stayed at the Coral Sands in March on a three day stopover in LA. The motel is a 50's style two story building with inner courtyard containing a small swimming pool and jacuzzi. The weather was too cool for swimming but I did enjoy relaxing in the jacuzzi after long days of tourist activities. The double room had a...

I was a little wary when I first walked in.. But, first impressions? The motel was lovely clean and comfortable. It was like out of the movies old fashioned. The cleaning staff were just wonderful and helpful. We would stay again. Handy position to walk around.

The motel is old and it shows yet everything is kept clean and tidy. Staff is very friendly and polite and made us feel wellcome. Lots of free parking space. Location is great. Groceries, pharmacy and lots of places to eat inside five minutes walking distance. Metro station is right around the corner. Overall this motel is really worth the...

I honestly don't know how this motel got such good reviews. Maybe I'm taking crazy pills but I wouldn't be surprised if this was a place where prostitutes took their clients. It looked run down and had an eerie vibe. The bed was uncomfortable (really hard and springy) and the bathroom was small. There were bars on the outside of...

Went there with my father for the 3rd time. We love this place. It's comfortable, quite clean. Wifi is good. Swimminpool, Whirlpool, laundry, computer, everythings good. Felix, Ryan, Pablo and all staff are all very friendly and helpful about everything. There's a supermarket, Starbucks, clothes shop, food, everything just around the corner. Nearby are many restaurants. Hollywood, Griffith park, Observatory,...

At first I thought it was so cheap it would be too good to be true but it really is fantastic. Front desk is so helpful and polite. Rooms basic but really what else do you need. Fabulous pool, supermarkets easy access and a short metro or a bit of a stroll on to the walk of fame !! I'll...

The hotel was very clean. They had a microwave that you can use and washer/dryers for $2/wash/dry if you needed it. The hot tub could have been a bit hotter and the pool a bit warmer. The staff are very friendly. They answered all of my questions and gave me recommendations on a great restaurant within walking distance. There is...

Yikes....if you ONLY need a bed to sleep in this might work for you, personally I would not go back or recommend this motel as a place to stay well on holidays. There were four of us getting two rooms. Walking into the lobby it is very dark, the man at the desk was doing something ignoring us for a...

It's hard to find a reasonably priced place to stay in LA that is in a good location but this fits the bill. It is on the edge of Thai Town, so there are lots of nice places to eat close by and it's a 2 minute walk from Hollywood/Western metro station so most of the Hollywood sights are a...

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
