We stayed for 2 nights and used it as a base to explore Loas Angeles and the coast. we had a a great time, we got to watch the sunset from the roof, the hotel was right on the beach and Moses on the desk was fantastic to us.

Great location for a group of friends to stay, maybe not good for a young family are there are a lot of homeless people hanging around outside. Right across from the beach and didn't feel unsafe, short walk to Santa Monica. Rooms are a good size although not all come with fridges so you should request this. Wifi is only...

We booked this hotel through Expedia who have been our agents of choice for years. On this occasion we could not believe our eyes when we drove up as the area was very dodgy. We had to park behind the hotel and o walking to reception saw what we thought were drug dealers outside. We looked at the hotel and...

I liked the view so much we stayed another day- looked right at the ocean- downside: noise from people walking by at all hours was very loud for sleeping. We needed earplugs. Great old place being remodeled so not quite ready yet, nice staff, room needs carpet cleaning. Price was reasonable -The man at the desk gave us a discount...

Stayed here for an overnight stop and woke up to the best views of Venice beach. Hotel is pretty basic but a nice room and bathroom. Everything was good about our stay however we were not advised about the charge for wireless until we checked out! If I had known I would have made use of it!! Anyway we didn't...

We stayed at the Cadillac for 3 nights for part of our honeymoon. When we arrived (early before check in) they let us store our luggage there and when we did check in they let us pick from two different rooms. The room we ended up picking was on the front side of the hotel with two double beds. The...

I have just stayed at this hotel - nice enough but far from special. The worst thing is no car parking, and the guy on reception was not the most helpful in finding me somewhere. The lift was too small and difficult to use for the one luggage cart. I couldn't find any breakfast. Then the bill. I was charged...

Stayed here for one night. Had room 402. Faces ocean. Amazing views. Clean room. Good size. At night it's a little sketchy outside but it's not too bad. Great location right in the middle of all Venice beach entertaining characters.

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was ok. During the day is great because is just in the middle of Venice sidewalk, where all the artisans are and just in front of Venice beach. At night is creepy as hell, a lot of homeless people, really solitaire, dark area. The cost was reasonable thinking that is just ocean...

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
