Right on Venice Beach so perfect for exploring the boardwalk etc. The rooftop is pretty awesome with views over the beach and the rooms are much better appointed than I expected - definitely a studio apartment rather than traditional hotel room. Also, this was the most comfortable bed I slept on during my three week trip!

We are the only Venice Beach boardwalk hotel where you step out our front door and on to the sand. We are within walking distance to everything including boutique shops and restaurants from Abbott Kinney Blvd to the Santa Monica Pier. We have spectacular oceanfront and Venice Beach Boardwalk view units. Other units have views of the surrounding neighborhood consisting of adjacent homes, businesses and small streets. Our historic 1926 boardwalk & beachfront building consists of furnished studio and one bedroom apartment units with fully equipped kitchens. We are your home away from home on the beach. The location is amazing. This hotel is more like a really sweet apartment on the beach. Our suite had more than what we needed, and staff was super nice. If you stay(and you should), go relax on the rooftop ocean view patio. Bike rentals and food options are just outside. Only downside is parking is a couple blocks away, but...

This is a great "old-school" hotel but not for the rigid or easily confused. Desk service is not 24 hours, so if you arrive late you'll have to use the lock box to get your keys. No problem if you've remembered to bring your box code. As other have noted the elevator is small (two people max, and recommend only...

Our office is staffed onsite from 8am to 8pm daily. From 8pm to 8am our property is monitored by onsite staff at our sister property Venice Breeze Suites just a couple blocks south of us on the Venice Beach boardwalk. Fantastic place to stay with so much within easy reach. Big luxurious rooms that were well-equipped with everything you'd need for a short stay. Right on the beach and very easy walk either along the Boardwalk or through streets with shops/cafes up to Santa Monica and close and very easy to get to LAX which was great with late night...

I loved this place. Rooms were really nice, quiet at night time. Lots of stuff to see on Venice Beach, food, drinks within walking distance. Staff was nice, friendly and helpful. I would go back and stay longer.

Excellent spot, great location, awesome staff! I would recommend this spot to anyone that wants the full Venice experience. Rooftop sunsets, sunrises, the boardwalk and view of the Pacific Ocean! Their prices are cheaper on their own website!!

The beach-front location is really what makes this great. Our room seemed nice enough however it did smell strongly of onions. I guess being a suite hotel, who knows what the last guest cooked before (maybe a deodorizer or something would help?). Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
