Kimberley pringle Attachments Feb 24, 2024, 2:14 PM (2 days ago) to accessibility, elaine I am not usually a complainer about little obstacles or situations with travel but, this has got to be the most disturbing hotel stay I have ever experienced. My confirmation number is 84851EE011978. Travel lodge in Long Beach, Ca (near convention center). Our stay started out with arriving at this location, first impression is of a hotel that not only has long since seen its best days, but one of tired and worn out facade, poor exterior maintenance. Check in was not in a lobby, but rather through what appeared to be a sad attempt at bullet resistant glass. Once receiving our room key card, we proceed upstairs to our floor via a dirty worn out elevator, passing fellow customers and over hearing them say " let's hope we don't get some kind of rash or bites from our stay here". not a great start to our stay. Hoping things will get better we proceed to our room and enter. The room was dirty, cracks were in the ceiling and walls, and the bathroom left you feeling like we might be cleaner if we do not shower in there than if we did. The main light switch inside the door would not turn off, so I was forced to wedge something in it to hold it in the off position. The shower head was heavily calcified and dirty, the sink was not clean and had some hairs stuck in the drain. knowing we only had to stay 1 night and trying to be positive, we huddled together in the center of the bed trying to sleep. We awoke very early, having hardly slept at all. As we packed our stuff ,we opened the curtain to let daylight in and the true level of horror that was our room revealed itself. Besides the large spots of spillage on the floor, possibly from repeatedly plunging the toilet by the previous occupant, as we had to do several times, and the large cracks and holes in the walls, the mattress was something straight out of a crime scene photo shoot. There were LARGE stains that we hoped were coffee, but had a reddish brown hue to them (possibly dried blood ?), as well as holes around the edges near the top of the mattress (our best guess is this is the place to store your weapons for quick retrieval). Please feel free to examine the crime scene photos we have attached as evidence. As frequent travellers, we have stayed in many hotels of varying star ratings, but honestly this is by far the worst accommodations we have ever stayed at !. Our hope is that this will serve as a notice for corporate to investigate this location, and that major changes will be made to ensure that other travellers will not have to endure the abysmal conditions we experienced. Rest assured this will be our last stay at any Wyndham hotel chain location. Thank you for your time and attention in this matter. Please feel free to contact us at the above email address. Sincerely, Elaine Howell…
